As impressive as I am with Wafer, I would say it all depends on if we can get a long term contract from him...

From a business standpoint, I wouldn't want to spend too much "time" in Wafer unless I know he is guaranteed to be with Houston next year. As long as Tmac could come back to 90% of who he was, I would not give Wafer the chance to show off his talents to the other GMs. Then again, if we can land a 3-4 contract from Wafer this year, then it will be a different ball game..

Yes but, we don't double team very often. People overlook the fact that when Battier defends Kobe, we rarely double team.

I like starters Brooks, Wafter, Artest, Scola, Yao

2nd unit Alston, TMac, Landry, Battier.

The minutes played will depend on who is hot that night. Wafer, Artest anbd Scolas each high energy. So often, when TMac/Alston start, the team starts slowly.

I could be wrong, but I see Tracy pouting if he comes off the bench.

I agree he should, but I don't think he will. I am just hoping that he has realized that he is expendable with the way Wafer has been playing.

Against a player like Kobe, the options aren't simple "single team" and "double team". Take the Lakers game last year, win number 22 in our streak. Battier played great defense on Kobe, but he did a great job running Kobe into our help defense. You can't give a defender all the credit, or all of the blame.

T-Mac should be the starting sg.
Wafer could be big on the bench.

If Wafer continues to play the way he has been playing how can you send him to the bench while trying to convince the rest of the players or fans you are really trying to win.

Von Wafer starts unless Me Mac can prove he is better.

How quickly can a player be overrated by Rox fans just because Tmac is playing terrible.

18 shots for 17 points is nothing to be too excited about.

Id rather be excited about that than T-Mac playing, especially with it being more inconsistent than the weather here in Houston. Plus, Wafer just had a bad second half

How about a wing player that field goal percentage of over 50% and a 3pt percentage of over 40%? Is that worth getting excited about? If your answer is no then there is not a shooting guard in the league that excites you.

Is Von Wafer overrated by Rox fans? Maybe.

Has Von Wafer's play as a starter been overrated by Rox fans? Hell No!

Only time will tell if Von Wafer will come back down to earth or if he truely is what we are seeing...and that is an all star caliber shooting guard.

If T-Mac comes back he's going to be rusty and slow. He should play limited minutes off the bench until he gets back into shape, just like last year.

    I like it.
But I don't think it will happen.

Your starting lineup, I think, I hope, we will see for long stretches in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, on occasion.

You don't understand it. This is why T-Mac is sitting, to GET INTO SHAPE.

I don't think it's possible that he can get himself into NBA shape by rehabbing. Everything I've heard suggests that there's no substitute for playing games.

It's standard procedure for guys who are coming back to play off the bench while they get their legs under them. That's exactly what T-Mac did last season.

No no no. Look, he is not rehabbing only. Maybe he is doing some excercises for that knee, but he wants to do the work he is supposed to do during the summer.

It is not only about the knee. He may not feel his J at the beginning, that's all.
