Barack - we get it. You want everybody to think you're the next Abe Lincoln. It's perhaps the most arrogant thing you could attempt. You're no Abe Lincoln.

Sean Hannity is a hoot. That's like me posting an opinion piece that appears in the Huffington Post. Yes, Lincoln was a Republican. But, don't confuse the Republican Party of the 19th century with the current one, lest you appear to be an idiot.

That's one of the most juvenile discussions of history I've ever seen. The questions and answers are so scripted and the actors so wooden that you can't help but feel some level of pity for the two, as well as a much greater level of pity for anyone who might be conned into taking this seriously.

By the way, I really enjoyed that guy's book, 48 Liberal Lies About American History. Brilliant research and great writing from an objective authority.

Sean Hannity is earning $100 million for this type of analysis?

I don't know if he actually believes the stuff that comes out of his mouth, but I guess it works for him.

I stopped listening after his guest said that they both spend a lot of money but "Lincoln has a war to deal with while Obama does not."

    ...right.

So why is it wrong for Obama to be inspired by Lincoln and to try and learn from him?

Of course there's nothing wrong with Bush doing it or some of the same idiots in that vid comparing Bush to Lincoln:

I was gonna go copy and paste some Michael Moore video, but my Youtubes are broken.

Tex, guess what? WE WON THE ELECTION!!! Isn't it awesome? And Bush is leaving in disgrace and embarrassment:

I mean, I understand that you guys now have nothing better to do than the equivalent of sitting in the corner of the room at the cool kid's party, muttering, "Everybody thinks that guy's so great. Well he's NOT!"; however, look on the bright side. There's always the next election:

WE? Since when was the election an "us" against "them"? I guess since "you'all" won the election, its time to round up them pesky republicans and gas them.

    What the hell?

Has he not realized that America's deficit is already in the trillions? Largely due to a certain George W Bush's policies?

It makes you think if some people are even grounded in reality.

    Absolutely hilarious.

In the first answer the guy says Lincoln spent a lot of money, but that's different because Lincoln had a war to fight and Obama doesn't.

Really? The U.S. isn't involved in any wars right now? Do the troops that these guys are supposedly supporting know that they don't believe the troops are performing there service in a time of war?

Also it's a shame when grown men aren't able to tell the difference between paying tribute to Lincoln, and trying to compare ones self with Lincoln.

Maybe since the GOP candidate for VP talked about some parts of America being the "real America" or were more patriotic than other parts. She's saying that some parts of America aren't the real America. That was one of the first us vs. them times in the election.

"We" in this context would be Democrats. Elections in the US tend to be between two competing groups, or "parties". To the best of my knowledge, the Democrats have yet to advocate mass murder of dissenters.

Lincoln pulled off one of the greatest accomplishments of a liberal agenda in history while navigated this country through it's #1 most challenging time in our history.

His enemies were southerners (ie from today's conservative "base" states many of which still share the EXACT sentiments of those day or some many sentiments directly tied to the roots of from the Conferate days).

I'm glad you revere him too.

only bigtexxx would be proponent of video that he posted and started a thread with, where one of the guys supporting bigtexxx's agenda claims the U.S. is not in a war now.

    Talk about self pwnage.

Well both GH Bush and GW Bush often compare themselves to Harry Truman. GH Bush even modeled his 1992 campaign train tour after Truman's. Bill Clinton pointed out that Truman was a Democrat.
