Great 4th quarter by Nelson. Kobe ran out of gas and had a horrible finish. The Magic deserved to win and they're the better team for now.

Did that elbow Dwight threw at Gasol seem very Kevin Garnett to Lamarcus Aldridge-ish to anyone else?

    In other news, Kobe with a triple-double 28 13 & 11.

It was getting chippy out there and Gasol was hanging onto dwight with two arms over his body. The refs should've let that go and gasol ended up getting a T

Yeah, I know. I'm not going to hold it against Dwight. But it just reminded me of that.

Maybe Kobe was up all night fretting over ways to keep his website afloat?

After this game, Laker fans have gotten rather disgruntled with the refs. On Lakersground.net, there is a thread titled "Official Ref Watch THread :NBa I'm watching you" (http://forums.lakersground.net/viewtopic.php?t=79517).

I'm sure Laker fans are a bit unhappy with their last two opponents getting more FT attempts than their team is (55-38).

hedo;s slow start would've put orlando in a bad position in the standings but jameer stepped up this season and now the magic beat the lakers in la. reddicks starting to get playing time too. the east is up for grabs mos definently.

Laker fans have no right to complain. Gasol may have got a slight elbow, but the moron could keep his hands off of Howard. Nelson didn't double dribble, but it was a honest mistake. Kobe also got to the line on a blocking foul when it was clearly a charge.

Howard, made alot of realy dumb mistakes in the clutch.

At the end of the day Kobe had a open shoot to tie the game but missed.

You know, if look at stats for shots taken in the clutch, Kobe is pretty crappy. It seems like he hits a lot, and that's because he does. But he also takes way more than anyone else in the league, so his % is terrible compared to other star players.

He also got mugged by Howard and Lee and knocked down hard on the floor and they let that go. He did all he could for 3 quarters but simply ran out of gas in the 4th. That open J looked good when it left his hands but was a bit long

JJ Redick before the Lakers game 4 straight games double figures scoring (11, 15, 12, 15)
    3pt % in January: 62% (18 for 29)

Why dont all teams just start firing half their shots from 3pt range? Wont be any fun to watch, but it seems to help their scoring output.

Watch the Magic for a few games. Some games it really SEEMS like half their shots are from long range.

For stretches during Blazers games, it seems like half their shots are 3-pointers. This is especially true against Eastern Conference teams who aren't familiar with them. (With Blake out, they will take fewer).

The Knicks are another team where I almost get tired of watching so many 3-pointers.

Teams that don't take and hit a lot of them are at a serious disadvantage. I think things are going the direction you suggest.

So much for the theory that the Magic are winning because of soft schedule.

I'm glad the Lakers lost but the Magic are a fraud. What are the odds they don't make it past the second round?

Hell will they even get past Atlanta, Miami, or even New Jersey, if one of those team play the Magic in the 1st Round.

If the Magic get to the 2nd Round of the playoffs, they will inevitably be trounced by the Pistons, Cavs, or Celtics.

Magic are a really good team. their record vs the west says enough about their team. they have versitility and a power pivot. They also have like the 3rd best defense in the league. hate all you want, but thats a good team.
