That is what I am saying, we should focus on having Tracy, Ron and Yao healthly in March, April and in the playoffs. Because if we are healthly, I really feel like we have a great chance of doing something big.
No offense, but where the hell are you getting all of that from? Do you seriously believe that Tracy McGrady was born as the greatest athlete in the world, inherited basketball talent unlike anyone before him, then did nothing but sit around a smoked weed and play video games until he was old enough to enter the NBA? Then, after he got to the NBA and used mainly as a defensive specialist, he continued to skip practices, refused to try to make himself better, and generally didn't care about being good, but all of a sudden he became an all-star. That's the picture you're trying to paint here? Come on! You can question alot of things about McGrady and his career, mainly his lack of toughness and lack of playoff success, but I can guaruntee you that that man worked his ass off to get where he is right now. He prolly put in more hard work to get there than anyone on this site put in to get where they are. Being great at basketball ain't as easy as some of y'all make it seem. And those injuries he's had and all the wear and tear on his body, those aren't things that happen when you're lazy. Wear and tear on a body can only come from wear and tear, aka, working ones ass off for a prolonged amount of time. His hard work over the years is why everyone says he has "more miles on him" than most players his age. Criticize his toughness. Criticize his shot selection. Criticize what he says to the media. Hell, criticize the outfit he wears on the bench when he's sitting out. But I think it's pretty messed up to rip a guy's off the court work ethic when more than likely you've never seen how he works in his off time or really have any idea what his training regimine is.
HECK NO ! I do not believe in Tmac anymore, he quit on this team, this city, and it's fans...I will believe it when I see it. SHOW ME THE MONEY BABY !! DD
I believe Tracy has the ability to come up big and get us deep in the playoffs. That being said I would like to have him traded as soon as his value is high enough to get something decent in return. He is just to INCONSISTANT. Even before the injuries this year you were never quite sure what you would get from Mcgrady from one night to the next. Some nights he plays within the offense most nights it's him going one on one. If his jumper is falling that is great, but when it is not .... For 21 million I want someone I can count on every night.
I hardly consider him a cornerpiece of the team right now, maybe in the playoffs he'll be big, but right now he's dead weight. I'm not saying I've given up on him, but as he put it, the Tmac project is shut down for now...
TMac has done alot to piss me and most everyone else off this year. But I still believe in the guy. But if comes back in 2 weeks in b****-mode again, well, I think even his biggest supporters will have a hard time defending him.
I never, ever liked the guy ever since we traded for him, finally everyone else sees it the same way. He's becoming a cancer and even if he comes back from this injury strong it'll be the same thing next year. He needs to be moved as soon as a good deal comes up.
See Gerrard, I disagree with you on one thing. If he comes back strong...great...but next year....he will be amazing...all the injuries will magically disappear, he will be in great shape....you know why? It is a contract year....and it is all about the Benjamins....so keep him....hope he comes back and trade him next year as he is rocking along for some younger talent. DD
When he can't play defense or get to the basket, no, when he can do the things he could do in the playoffs at 80%, I do. Whether it happened at the beginning or now, he shouldve been shut down until he can perform close till confortable. If he can't or couldn't do that, I wouldn't have let him play.
"Criticize all you want, he says, and if you want to make McGrady laugh, tell him he is washed up. " - jerome solomon that says it all. everyone says hes washed up every year and every playoff series he brings it harder than anyone in the team. we need him to advance in the playoffs. end of argument.
I still believe that Tracy can turn it around for the sake of the team. I just dont have faith that he will based upon his past.
None. Which is also the exact amount of evidence that we have that the Rockets CAN advance without TMac. And I guess if we have no evidence that we can advance with TMac and no evidence that we can advance without TMac then we should just give up. Or we can just make the reasonable assumption that there are alot of very good teams in the western conference and that it's kinda silly to think that we're better than all of em without 1 of our top 3 players. Yes, we need Tracy to get out the first round. Yes, we need Yao to get out the first round. And yes, we need Artest to get out the first round.
