Last game I bought was Resistance 2. Pretty good game. Kinda thought it was too scripted. Haven't touched my ps3 for awhile but was wondering if anyone knew of any good games that have come out since R2? I am hoping Killzone 2 rocks.
I made the mistake of buying "Mortal Kombat vs. Marvel". I and my daughters were disappointed, since we're used to the Tekkens and the other vs. fighter games. It's boring. Plus, there are limited characters from which to choose. Rent it before you buy it. I didn't and now I'm stuck with it. Next game I will buy is Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. It's the reason to have an HDTV with a PS3 on it.
Last game I bought was Madden. Every now and then I might find one I want, though I'm too broke right now.
I'm looking forward to Infamous later this Spring. The last game I bought was R2, and I don't see myself buying anything else until Infamous. Maybe Prince of Persia if I find myself with extra free gaming time, which is unlikely.
Fallout 3 is an awesome game. Even if you aren't into RPG, give it a shot, it won't disappoint. I haven't been able to put it down since I started playing over the Christmas break. I also picked up Prince of Persia, but haven't had time to open it yet.
Do you mean Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe? If so, I am glad I didn't buy it as I borrowed it from a family member. I love every Call of Duty game I have ever played. Modern Warfare 2 is due later this year. YAY!
Nothing special, just the knowledge that I did it. I saw a lot more of the game than I did the first playthrough - really amazing how much there is to do. Spoiler If you haven't found the Alien Blaster in the Wasteland - look it up. Best weapon in the game.
R2 came out pretty late in the year last year, when pretty much all the big games get released (or have already been released). Not too many games came out after IIRC. Most developers wait until February or March if they can't hit early/mid-November. What type of games do you like, and which ones have you played? LittleBigPlanet, MotorStorm 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Disgaea 3, Fallout 3, BioShock, Dead Space, Prince of Persia, etc., all came out in the last few months and are pretty good AFAIK. Although some, like Valkyria Chronicles, might be a bit niche. Certainly not like R2 or KZ2. I'm assuming you've played or know about some of the older games (Uncharted, R&C, MGS4, GT5, GTAIV, R1, etc.). Sony has Infamous, Killzone 2, and MLB 09 coming out this Spring if I'm not mistaken. Skate 2 will be released next week. SFIV, RE5, FEAR 2, etc., will be released in the next month or two I believe.
FPS are my favorite. Then sports games. Then RPGs. I own Madden 09, Dead Space, R2, and DMC4. I have played the demo for Bioshock.
I rented it so I doubt I'lll get that far before I must return. BUt when I buy I'm holding off on that till the deatclaw santuary. BTW is anyone wants to sell me their PS3 copy let me know.
Has anyone played Far Cry 2? It got decent reviews and sales from what I could tell. I'm not particularly interested in it, but that might be a decent FPS game to try out. Visuals certainly looked nice.
I'd guess probably not. It would be up to EA, and they'd have to find a team to port it (unless Valve suddenly had a change of heart). It would probably be a BioShock-esque wait at best I'd figure.
