Am I The Only One Who Thinks Clyde Is A God Awful Announcer

you don't like how he reminds the listeners every 5 seconds that the Rockets are playing without their 2 best players Artest and Tmac?

 

hes better then 1/2 of the announcers in Houston

 

Old news. Here's one for tonight: He praises Wafer for not settling for the 3-point shot and instead attacking the basket. A few minutes later, he says Wafer should have shot a 3 and shouldn't try to be a playmaker.

 

I hate how he'll say: "Oh, bad decision by [insert Rocket here]." Then he'll start chuckling. What the hell is he laughing about. The only conclusion I can come up with is that he's senile.

His chuckle infuriates the hell out of me. He chuckled after Rafer missed two free throws, if I'm not mistaken. I wonder if he was chuckling when Stockton hit that game 6 three-pointer.

"Looks like I messed up there, Chuck .... (chuckle)"

 

Clyde actually had one of his better games tonight, IMO. Look, there are 30 teams in the league and each team isn't going to have announcers who are on the same level of JVG or Hubie Brown. Clyde's there because he's a Rocket legend and a hall of famer who lives in Houston and loves the Rockets.

Honestly, I think you just need to accept that and stop opening useless threads about the quality of the Clyde's commentary and enjoy watching the games.

Unfortunatly for us, Bullard is not that much better. Nobody has clicked with Worrell since Murphy.

Bullard is one of the best announcers I've ever heard.. even though I disagree quite often with his analysis, but he has passion for this team, he's articulate, and he calls it like it is most of the time (*cough* Boston guy *cough*)

Clyde is just annoying.. he tries so hard to sound normal and he fails miserably.. I've actually heard Clyde speak on multiple occasions (thanks to Tinman for the most recent one) and he sounds NOTHING like Clyde the Announcer.. if only he can forget that he's on air and just have a back and forth conversation with Bill, it would be awesome..

Calvin Murphy is the biggest D-Bag I've ever seen (after Joe the Plumber and Mark Cuban).. he's the most annoying guy on earth and he thinks that he's knows what he's talking about while in reality he doesn't know crap..
