I guess that makes sense. But, in that audio clip, Yao seems genuinely surprised that the media is spinning this to be a Yao versus Tracy showdown in the locker room.
Yeah, from what I gather the other insiders were olipere or something and popeye, both of whom haven't posted in a while. Also, from what I gather Doc Rocket just started posting again after a hiatus.
That's cold, but I think it needs to be done if the Rockets approach the trade deadline with a mediocre record. Still, that would probably give Houston a big red "NO" sign for most free agents, look at the amount of trades that have gone down here. This team is unstable like hell.
Look at what every other player in the league does. Look at Garnett getting on Big Baby. Watch some of the old Jordan games, he would always get on his teammates. The superstar, the playmaker of the team is usually always the leader. And no I won't fault McGrady for trying to motivate Yao. I'll fault him for his conditioning, his shot selection, his effort, but not him trying to be the leader of this team, even if he ends up not being effective. Tmac not taking fault? "Its on me?" , "I tried". Maybe you don't remember these. Your comments seem to come from your own frustrations and not fact. I'd say what probably happened here is Mac has been on Yao's ass for the last few years or so to be more aggressive, etc...probably the exact same things we comment on here on Clutchfans daily. Yao accepts it, accepts Tmac as the leader of the team. Tmac probably continued his lectures while his own effort came into question and Yao took exception to it. Yao quietly complains to his friends or management out of frustration, and rightly so (Doc probably lies in here somewhere). Word gets out to the national media and wala you have a blown of proportion drama that probably isnt as bad as people make it out to be.
None of this would be happening if Jeff Van Gundy was still our coach. That's right! JVG for president!
pssh, empty words. if he isn't working hard, they don't mean anything. Like saying "my bad" and not correcting what you did, those words led nowhere.
may I ask you DaDakota, IT FEELS GREAT TO BE WRONG DOESN'T IT??? I take back everything I said about the possibility that Yao might have said that.. now I will start the task I will be doing for the next 2 weeks, which is sending that piece of $h!t David Aldridge nasty emails..
How would I know...I am nearly always right....people are just slower to come to the proper realization. Oh, I think he said it.......no doubt about it...but probably out of frustration with Tmac and his lazy, no rehabbing like everyone else in the summer's arse. DD
it's statements like this that makes me wish you weren't the GM of the Rockets....wait, you're not! wow. Dada - if it were up to you, Vspan would be our point guard.
Garnett, Jordon work hard, they play hard on the court. Most important of all, they hold themselves personally responsible for the shortcoming of the team. They don't point fingers at their teammates when they know it is the leader's responsibility to lead by example, motivate and empower the follower to the common goal.
What? Those comments were made in our last two playoff series when Tracy busted his ass. Only recently has his effort been in question.
LOL - well, not yet I'm not. I don't know about that, but he would have gotten a more serious look. DD
Tracy was playing hard. Again, it was only recently that Tmac's effort came into question with the Rockets. I wouldn't call trying to be a leader pointing fingers, maybe you do.
