man what a game. i have to say they all fought hard out there. i mean, kobe was just clutch even with battier on him. however, i was terribly disappointed at the last few seconds. i mean rafer should've made those FTs. second, i was hoping to see wafer shoot at the last second. he was 3-4 at the 3 pt line. i don't blame yao for the two though. he had to do something as the shot clock was going down. overall, i was happy with the team effort. GO ROCKETS!!!

The point guards were just awful tonight. Alston missed both free throws that would have tied the game with 8 seconds left and only shot 5-14. Brooks was only 2-10, that's a combined 7-24 from those two.

It was a good fight until the last play.
RA's done a poor job in not being able to come out with a play that give someone a clear shot.
Yao had a mental collapse in not realizing his last shot was giving up the last chance.
I do not want to bash after a good game of everyone from the team. Everyone played hard which gave the rockets a chance to win. That being said, the mistake in the last play is unforgivable. The coach had to do a better job.

The Rockets haven't played close games where McGrady was not their go-to player. It was an unfamiliar situation and they panicked.

But still, it was a great game and definitely something to build upon.

you all are so typical, when we lose yall get mad at the people that yall were thanking like 15 mins ago. Yao Ming didn't come up big in the 4th because they were giving him a weak-side double team, where he had to pass out of it, they put rafer in at the end because brooks can't run a play worth shxt. Von wafer had a great game. Carl Landry isn't clutch, after seeing him pass up that wide open shot. Great game, no excuses, just learn from the loss, pick up the goods, change the bads, keep it rollin.

watching ODOM on NBATV now, talking about their big D that win the game...

to me, it was the refs won the game

although, rox has a lot to improve... like the last offensive, can not believe that was fresh out of a timeout....

and Rafer Alston.... I don't see any reason he can play in the 4Q of a tight game... too many opportunistic shots

The NBA wants a Cleveland - Lakers finals based on the officiating.

Step one ... get Yao out. Check.

Step two ... all close calls go to the Lakers. Check.

Step three ... pay off officials.

Tough loss. We had so many chances when we were up 4 pts, we kept allowing Ariza to hit 3's to keep them in it.

Then Kobe took over at the end and we folded.

Nice, we are dropping out of the top 8.
We are always unable to put the ball in the hands of the player who obviously plays best in the game. Where was Wafer at the end when we desperately needed 3 pointer??
We cannot be a contender unless we stop making mistakes and play wisely.

There's no way in hell they should get 3x more free throws than we did

why do we even need refs when kobe plays? they should just let him call his own fouls like in streetball.

This is not a game 7 in the playoff, we can build on this. It is time. We can be victorious if we believe.

Just want to say : when clutch , no rafer attack !!!

Elite teams always have most successable attack when CLUTCH. We have to get those tragedy in prepare for the hardest defense.
At least , NO RAFER ATTACK WHEN CLUTCH !

    Reasons why we lost.
1.) REFS GOT YAO IN FOUL TROUBLE
2.) REFS FAVOR LAKERS IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY AKA JUMP BALL/DEFENSIVE FOULS/LIST GOES ON
    3.) AIRBALLSTON
4.) RICK ADELMAN'S LEFT HIS "END GAME PLAYS BOOK" AT HOME

I am not gonna describe the first 3 things coz i am sure all of you guys witnessed the game and refs with their shade on. The last play where they needed a THREE to tie the game. There were no off dribble PICKS what so ever. Yao should have designed to set a off dribble pick for someone then we can get a 3's even if we have to pray for it. That play was so godawfully broken that i think my old 65 oldsmobile is in a better shape than that play. Gawdawful last 20 second of the game. Witnessing all the Free throws from Rafer and the Godawful plays at the end will give me nightmare for the next 10 days. AMEN!
