Do you believe in our team? Not to just win here and there but to win like a upper NBA powerhouse should? Even without Tmac playing. Even without Ron playing. We have the pieces there to get the job done. We just have to go out and do it. I believe that Von's athleticism and Barry's passing can equal Tmac being out.

Tomorrow against the Lakers, first thing to do isn't to just come out using all our energy to score 32 points a quater. It's to use more energy on DEFENSE to make the game winnable at the end. Kobe is Kobe. Kobe is unstoppable. You can put Battier, Ron Artest and Bruce Bowen in a 3 on 1 game and Kobe would score 35% of the time. Just provide TEAM defense and the job will get done. We have the WEAPONS needed to beat the Lakers or any team out there.

2 things are certain for us to win... one is to bring the defense, remember NO LAYUPS!! The next thing is to get Yao involved. If Yao gets involved like he should, then the game will be nothing but close range high % shots from Yao OR a good look 3 pointer. With Aaron's penetration and Von's ability to get the basket, we should come out with a win tomorrow.

    Do you BELIEVE? I do.

How do we win like a NBA powerhouse without the power? That's like asking if Boston will play like an elite team without Ray Allen and Pierce.

If Battier holds Kobe to a mediocre game and if Yao has a great game, I think this has the potential to be a blowout win for the Rockets.

I think that for the Rockets to win this game tonight against the Lakers, Kobe would have to ball-hog--take over 30 shots. Otherwise, the Rockets are pretty overmatched down low IMO.

I'll take our frontcourt depth over theirs. Lamar is questionable and won't be in good condition, Walton is out. That leaves Raddy, Gasol and Bynum with Mihm, Ariza, Mbenga and Josh Powell backing up. I take Landry, Scola, Battier, Yao, Chuckie H and Dikembe any day over that rotation.

I was a true believer last year even when Yao said we were like a sinking ship. but now...I have to say I lost my belief on T-Mac. And for anyone whose belief is on T-Mac to win the title, I feel sad

Judging from Shanes poor lateral movement this season that's gonna be really unlikely. IMO we go old school Pistons, shut down the supporting cast and let Kobe get his. But like you said Yao has to be agressive and assert himself early on both ends of the court.

I believe in INJURY. And this team is cursed. And I believe we need to get rid of Tmac....or T-Back. We're sick of seeing injure-prone player. Players that play all their life never get injured ...or hardly...like Karl Malone. We need those type of players.

Without Tmac and Ron, we can't be a powerhouse. But if we play hard, we can call ourselves "A Proud House". So all players, play when you can but when you are out on the court, you have to give your 100% to make us proud.

I get the feeling that most are underrating the Rockets and overrating the Lakers. The Rockets at home are still a top 5 team at 12-4 or a .750 win record. The Lakers are a superb home team, but only an above-average road team at 10-4. And this isn't even taking into consideration that without Lamar and Walton, the Lakers are playing like a shadow of themselves lately. They lost really badly to New Orleans, scraped together a decent win against Golden State on the road then won two extremely close games against Indiana and Miami by a combined 5 points.. And that was at the friendly confines of Staples Centre, where they're normally invincible. Granted, a lot of things have to go right for the Rockets to blow out the Lakers, but it's not like it's inconceivable.

Wait did u just say u wanted someone like Karl Malone. Obviously not a true Rocket Fan. As a Rocket Fan when you mention Karl Malone the words dirty, scum, and loser must immediately follow. You never should want anything to do with the Mail Man. All he did was leach off John Stockton's court vision, yea im not suppose to say it but i have some respect for Stockton. Screw the Jazz and Jerry Sloan's garbage offense.

How many championships did the Jazz win? 0.

How many championships did Karl Malone win? 0.

I know its off topic but u mentioned Karl Malone so i just had too rant.

If there is was a player the Rockets would want to from the past. Why not say Dream or Drexler ? And both are reliable and both have championships.

I hope your not serious. Even if Kobe has a mediocre game and Yao dominates, at best, it will be a close game not a blowout. How many blowout victories have we had with Yao getting 30/15?

the only thing keeping this team from steamrolling its opponents is health. once everyone is healthy rockets will be top contenders. when will everyone be healthy? its mid january and we still got ron and tmac, 2 of our 3 big 3, dealing with injuries. tmac didnt want to play thru the pain cuz it wasnt a good idea and now it is proven to be a bad idea and hes sufferring even more cuz of it.

tmac cant wait till his knee is back. if he can start giving us his full services right after thsoe 2 weeks everone will shut their mouths. but daam it woudl be weak if he needed to work his way into shape after those 2 weeks. who knows how long that can be?

a healthy tmac is all we need.
