Since when is sleeping around on your wife cool? Kick him in the nuts, that would be cool.

I used to be like that - then I thought about it a bit more and realised it's not a very positive attitude to take towards others. Sure, I might not want to be friends with them outside of work but I can be while I'm there to some extent. Also, considering I spend A LOT of time at work I find it best to socialise and learn from others as much as I can (without having to resort to laughing at and using awful office humour). Of course, I still keep it relatively minimal... it's not like I'm suddenly annoying mr happy at the office...

how about the person who argues with you even when you're saying the same thing, because they have to show they know everything and must get the last word.

she just started last week. :(

The person with the squeaky chair who rocks back and forth incessantly on the phone.

The people who have the same conversation/make the same joke every day.
    "How are you today?"
    "Well, I'm above ground!"
"Any day above ground is a good day!"

The sayings "Dont **** where you eat" "No fishing off the company pier"
There's been people I'm close to that have diarrhea'ed all over where they ate, and taken the company boat for offshore marlin fishing. Which resulted in miserable working conditions, and made me cautious of it all

But its just IMPOSSIBLE to not have the human element involved, its just always gonna be there in some capacity. And I'm as robotic and mechanical as can be. Plus it plain helps actual WORK when you can open up the trust level. The people you're with count big time toward job satisfaction.

I'm the same way, I got fired from one of my jobs because of that. It's a construction tool company and my boss told me it was not a performanced issue at all, but simply that my co workers did not feel like they knew me...i was on my way to closing a big deal with a potential client which would have made me look very good to the entire company, he found a way to fire me before I was able to successfully close it. He had gave me a bad review earlier to HR saying I was unmotivated and didn't try to get to know ppl I work with, than I got switched to another manager and I did much better and had a better relationship with the guys on his team and that's when I got fired by my previous boss., the new boss was brand new to the company and didn't have any pull and was not willing to stick up for me. My previous boss wanted me fired so I didnt make him look bad...

I agree though, even where i'm at now, I dont socialize alot with coworkers, i come in and do my job and i'm on target with my revenue goals...no one gives me **** about it here though.
