Overreaction? It took 15 seasons for forward Juwan Howard to be tossed from an NBA game for arguing a call, and he's amazed Wednesday was the first. Referee Michael Smith charged Howard with back-to-back technical fouls 16 seconds before halftime in Cleveland. Howard, his teammates and coaches were all shocked because Howard was never abusive in his language. From the bench, Howard said he was telling the refs he thought LeBron James was getting away with traveling. That's a common complaint these days, with James saying a pet move to the basket is a legal jump step, and others disagreeing. “I said, ‘What the hell was that?” Howard recalled of what got him the first “T.'' “Then I said, ‘You embarrassed you didn't make a call?'” drawing the second technical and an automatic ejection. Teammate Adam Morrison, who was near Howard during the technicals, confirmed that's all Howard said. Howard said he'll look into appealing those technicals. Each one costs him a $1,000 fine. He cussed at an official. Hell counts. Then asked if the ref was "embarrassed", basically insinuating his pride is more important than his duties as an NBA referee. Juwan is a longtime vet and a good guy seemingly, so he maybe should've been given a tad more slack, but I don't have a problem with it. Maybe a washed up scrub should focus more on basketball and less on complaining.
Wasn't he once ejected as a rocket for pushing a basketball into Mike James' face? James was on the raptors at the time.
Is that in a rule book somewhere, or just your assessment? I can't imagine hell counting as a swear word. If it does count then I can't believe there aren't 50 technicals called per game. If it does count, it totally shouldn't.
total bs... the two techs should be overturned, if that was all that's said. I haven't seen the footage. If he was shoving the ref whilst he said it then fair enough, otherwise no.

O the NBA. What did the fans do to deserve this. NBA is going low-low-low and low. Perhaps NBA should move all their players to CBA or some european league. At least James or Wade won't be getting the points, rebounds and assists given to them by the refs.
