These doctors are realy starting to annoy me. First off if ther was a risk of developinga stress fracture from playing on Ron's ankle, they should have known it was a possibility.
If there was already a stress fracture they should have found it!

A star player deciding to play on a sprained ankle to try and help his team, only to develop a stress reaction in that ankle?

I can't shake visions of Grant Hill's infamous final playoff run with the Pistons. And we all know how well that turned out for him and the Orlando Magic.

No, you're an idiot. Unfortunately, our medical staff can't save players who quit like like Artest and TMac. Tru Warrior, lol. That only counts when he's the numer 1 option on a crap team or protecting an injury (that is no less then TMac's) because it''s his contract year. Thart being said, most will support him because of his bull**** reputation. Artest is a joke too

"Artest was out Saturday, the fourth game in five he has missed. A bone scan conducted on Artest on Saturday showed "areas of stress," which could be caused by a variety of factors ranging from swelling to a fracture. With tests inconclusive, more tests will be conducted."

man this sucks. hopefully it's just a swelling. can the rockets ever get a break?

Artest should do whatever is best for his own career.....no matter what.

If he has to sit a month, then he should sit....

The medical staff never once said Ron is healthy and can't hurt his ankle further by playing on it. They as well as Morey said Artest should rest since the injury occurred in Nov. Ron was force to play a few games because Mcgrady was always hurt.

Mcgrady is a totally different story. 3 doctors, 2 not affiliated with the Rockets, and all world renowned said Mcgrady is totally healed and have been since Nov.

A big disappointment and this is exactly why I am such a proponent of not pushing guys hard to play "tough" during the regular season.

    Rest Battier
    Rest T-mac
    Rest Artest

but but the doctors said it was ok.

now really, time and time again these doctors have proven to be highly incompetent.

Should we fire Keith Jones or whoever our medical staff is?

no, the doctors DID say ron's ankle has swelling in it and so it's painful, but HE CAN PLAY ON IT (that's why ron has been playing on and off). it's ron's choice when the pain is tolerable.

Don't make up a fake story. The doctors never once said Ron was healed from his injury like they said Tmac was healed from his injury. Morey even said if it was him he would rest. Ron Played because Tmac took the 2 1/2 weeks off then came back and decided to take more games off not playing b2bs.

3 doctors, the last one hired by Mcgrady and the foremost knee expert in the country said he was healed in late Nov. There hasn't even been one doctor that said Ron was healed from his ankle sprain.

do you even follow the rockets? originally, the doctors said ron simply reaggravated an injury he had a long time ago playing too much street ball (ankle problems). so it was swelling a lot so he was in a lot of pain. the doctors said if he played on it, he wouldn't make it worse b/c it's a recurring injury. but they leave the choice up to him whether he can tolerate the pain. morey said he should rest if the pain is too much and should do so until the pain goes away. that's why ron is in and out of the lineup.

yes, you're only partially right about tracy's. he doesn't have an injury. he had surgery. and he's recovering from that surgery. he simply has to regain the strength back into his knee and the doctors said he's lacking that -> thus you get the "general soreness" associated with a weak knee playing in games.

if it's not too late, just shut him down for a month or so. if anyone has a more likely chance of being saved for the playoffs, it's Ron and not T-Mac.

The Rockets doctors and trainers are just plain incompetent. How else can you explain such consistency with injuries? Does Keith Jones have any clue??

This is terrible. If the Rockets want to salvage whatever is left from this season they will need to rest the following players until the All-Star Game: Artest, McGrady and Battier.

We need to start taking the Spurs approach and make sure our stars are ready for the playoffs.

At the same time, we need to make sure we make the playoffs. The Spurs have the advantage of BTDT experience and know how to win shorthanded. We don't.
