I've got this nasty tendency to walk into the next office over and grab my co-worker's boobs. She doesnt seem to mind tho....so it's ok....right??
Honestly...I can't think of a single thing. I keep my radio low, I'm quiet (I don't get many calls in my position, so that's not a factor), and I'm always helping people with their work and solving their problems for them. Nobody can be annoyed at me surfing the net all day, because they don't know about it.
OK, I might have been exaggerating just a little bit for dramatic effect. I don’t do any of these things constantly, just every once in a while. Well, except for the Clutchfans part.
i think my coworkers have to be annoyed at the fact that i do very little work compared to them.. the reasons aren't my fault--i've been asking for work and not getting much to do. But it's just me.. droxford, i occasionally do the highlight/unhighlighting of text. But I've seen people who do it constantly--it can get annoying to hear the clicks if you're nearby

i'd give up part of my salary to have one of those guys in the office. nothing like having to run to a meeting and going to grab a pot of coffee and it being empty. it takes 30 ****ing seconds to prepare a pot of coffee. now i have to do that and then either be late to the meeting waiting on it to brew or go without. thanks you lazy piece of crap.
I highlight then unlight all the text I am reading. I do it over and over again and when someone comes to my workstation it drives them crazy.
taking the last cup of coffee and not making another pot is probably the one really discourteous thing i do in life. i don't think i've ever made a new pot at work. but i don't get mad when i go to get some and it's empty so at least i'm not a hypocrite. most of the time i don't really need the coffee, it's just something to do to pass the time, so if it's there i'll drink it, if not oh well. now that i'm in a cubicle instead of an office, my solitaire clicking might be annoying. i play for speed and now that i've been on overhead with no work for many weeks, i play a lot so it's just clicking non-stop for 15 to 20 minutes at a time. of course i'm friends with the guy in the cubicle next to me and we talk and joke all the time and he even jokes that i must be busy because of all the clicking i'm doing so i don't think he really minds. but i do try to limit the number of games i play just in case. solitaire breaks are like my smoke breaks. sometimes i just have to play a game to take the edge off, even if i have no work.
and since it has now been mentioned 3 times, can someone explain this highlighting text thing to me. do you mean you just randomly highlight and unhighlight text while you're reading an article or thread? or do you highlight the text you are reading, and then unhighlight it when you are done and highlight the next section. isn't it annoying to try and read highlighted text all the time?
I have a few that I know are probably annoying - popping my chewing gum - singing along with my radio (not all the time, just a few songs - like Thriller, long story don't ask) - talking.. I like to talk to people while I work. If you can't tell I can multitask - so I read the bbs, talk to the girls in the office and work at the same time - that is if I am doing something like filing or doing all the crappy data entry stuff I have to do.
