Which prospect would you realistically like to see the Rockets select were they to "earn" the ranked pick below? I have to assume that Woods and Wilcox are in the draft.

    1. Ming
    2. Woods
    3. Butler
    4. Not Possible by Law of the Lottery
    5. Wilcox
    6. Stoudamire
    7. Gooden
    8. Borchadt

I've passed on Williams and Wagner because I think the Rockets need SIZE and these guys should do as well as Williams and Wagner.

I'm least certain about Borchadt-- may replace him with Ely.

I see Butler moving up and Gooden dropping a bit. Woods is the real flyer since few people know anything about him.

I agree with #1, #2, and #3. Anything below those (assuming those guys get taken top 3) and I hope the Rockets trade away the pick for a veteran or future lotto pick of comparable weight.

If I had to prioritize the players we would want, they would be:

    1) Ming Yao
    2) Qyntel Woods
    3) Amare Stoudemire
    4) Chris Marcus
    5) Caron Butler
    6) Drew Gooden
    7) Dan Dickau

Butler probably has more upside than K.T., but we already have K.T. so there's no need to duplicate. I like Stoudemire because of his potential to be a great center and Marcus because he's a big center now. Gooden is down the list because we really don't need a power forward. Dickau just makes the list because we need an athletic, passing PG backup rather than a dribble-dribble-dribble crossover dribble dribble backup PG. I hope Jeffries and Borchardt (Collier is better and bigger) are off the list.

I have seen none of these people play. From reading rankings and looking at our needs I like Woods and Butler both. If theya re gone, I'd take a chance on the Stoudemire kid. It is clearly a chance and at best it is a long term bet.

Completely weird, but if Woods and Butler are gone, I would take one of the hot point guards and be prepared to move Francis to off guard.

Can't go wrong witht he best athlete. You can always trade.

    1. Ming ...

    then ...

    2. Woods

    then ...

    3. Gooden
    4. JWill * tradebait
    5. Wagner * tradebait
    6. Butler
    7. Borchardt
    8. Wilcox

if we can't get the top 2, I'd rather just trade the pick for a vet, if possible.

for the toronto pick, if we keep it, I'd just like a decent backup Center, or sf if we pick up a post player with the 1st pick.

    1. Ming
    2. Woods
    3. Butler
    4. Wilcox
    5. Stoudamire

If the Rockets draft someone other than one of these five players with their first pick, I think I would be upset.

I agree DC Kid. But, if J. Williams or Wagner are on the board at #5 (not) you have to pick either one, especially over Stoudamire or Wilcox. I think you could move down a couple spots and pick who you want if it's Stoudamire or Wilcox.
    Draft Order:
    1. Ming
    2. Williams
    3. Wagner
    4. Woods
    5. Butler
    6. Gooden
    7. Wilcox
    8. Stoudamire
    9. Jeffries
    10. Borchardt
    11. Marcus

    Rockets Order:
    1. Yao Ming
    2. Rashard Lewis
    3. Lamar Odom
    4. Qyntel Woods
    5. Caron Butler
    6. Chris Wilcox
    7. Drew Gooden
    8. Amare Stoudamire
    9. Jared Jeffries
    10. Chris Marcus

Rocks IMO would take the highest ranked player on this list at #5:

    ********** Ming
    ********* Woods
    ******** Butler
    ******* Wagner
    ****** Wilcox
    ***** Gooden
    **** Stoudemire
    *** Borchardt
    ** Marcus
    * Jeffries
