I was at my cousins house today and he had a dl game called Castle Crasher for his 360. I have a PS3 and wanted to know of any good similar type games for it. Anybody got any good ideas?

I love my PS3 much more than my 360, so you know I'm being honest when I say there's no downloaded game for PS3 besides Street Fighter HD that's as good as Castle Crashers, at least that I know of. I enjoy Pain, and people tell me Flow is pretty good, but those are completely different types of games.

Only games I've bought have been Street Fighter HD and Bionic Commando. Bionic Commando is fun, but crazy hard.

I have PAIN but don't like it.

As for good PSN games, good ones are PixelJunk Monsters, Super Stardust HD, Wipeout HD, and Echochrome.

Also, I'm patiently waiting for Fat Princess. That game will be fantastic.

Ditto, I think little kids might like it.

If I didn't get it for free, I would demand a refund.

I haven't played Castle Crashers, nor have I really paid much attention to how it plays (know it is a RPG/Action coop game, but that's about it). I don't think there is a game quite like that on the PSN, although I might be mistaken.

My favorite PSN games have been Super Stardust HD, and the last two PixelJunk games (Eden and Monsters). All three games are in the 80-85 range at Metacritic, similar to Castle Crashers (not that this means much). SSHD is a shoot'em-up, PixelJunk Monsters is a tower-defense style game, and PixelJunk Eden is...um...I guess a platformer...a really weird-but-nice-looking platformer. I think all of these games are $10 or less, although I think they all have expansions too (except for maybe Eden).

Pain was OK (only cost me $5). I played a demo of The Last Guy (a weird top-down..uh..strategy game I guess?), which was surprisingly fun to me. Might purchase that eventually. I've heard good things about Everyday Shooter (another shoot'em-up) and Echochrome too.

I'm ignoring some of the more expensive PSN games, like Ratchet & Clank, Wipeout HD, and Siren. Those are more like retail games.

I like calling all Cars quite a lot. Once you pass it though, there isn't too much replay value.

If you are a nerd, Elefunk is cool. If you ever took a physics class where you had to build a bridge out of that flimsy wood, that is basically the game.

I play MK II a lot.

Pixel Junk Monsters has been my favorite PSN game so far. (outside of Warhawk - which was full price)

Has anyone got Lumines off PSN yet?

Super Stardust HD is pretty good. Especially now that you can listen to your own music.

I saw that Lumines got good reviews.

Is Castle Crashers really that good? My son plays it all the time and he loves it, but when I watch him play it strikes me as terribly repetitive and boring.

Bought Super Stardust almost the very day I got the PS3 last year, and I *still* play that sucker.. what a wonderful throwback to the joys of standing and pumping quarters into Asteroids coin-ops.. pure gaming goodness.

The similar sort-of game on 360 is of course Geometry Wars, but that thing just gets so freakin hard..

Love the pinball games from 360 as well.

Have not tried Gate Crashers though..

And very little on the PS3 store looks worth buying, maybe will give SSFHD a try though..
