We have collected over four pages of responses on Tracy's "reactions" in a basketball game. Do we love him or what?
You've been too defensive of TMac. Why can't you admit the truth - he is not likable as a teammate by others just because of his personalities?
t_mac1 I agree with everything you have said in this thread, but to make up something you knew was a lie not good at all. And now that DD has called you out for it you're going back on it.
I don't want to cause any arguments but if Battier had THAT such work ethic, why is he only averaging under 10 points per game in his career. He was a top 10 pick and should BE better at least offensively by now.
wat I'm sure Chuckwagon loves him, he's pretty much responsible for all the 2 or 3 PPG Chuckie puts up on the board.
I an't believe how many fans are missing the point yoyo tried to make with this thread. Comparing him to Tmac, seriously??? If you work with a team, let's say in a call center, and you're the lead, are you going to be help to the same standards as those that are NOT the leads? NO. NO. NO. You'll be held to HIGHER standards, as in, you'll be expected to stay longer, try harder, worry about yourself AND others. In other words, you'll be expected to earn your pay AND your given position. The people who simple answer phones (battier) are expected to contribute within their role, what they're payed for and what's expected of them. That's all a given when you apply for the job. Tracy is one of the leaders of this team. That's a given, period. He has to ACT AND PLAY like one. He's not off the job just because he's not dressed, he's still on the clock and expected to contribute in some way. Shane, who by the way CAN'T TRAVEL because of the swelling in his ankle and he's mentioned this SEVERAL TIMES, when he does sit on the bench in his rockets' blazer, he cheers, he advises, he's coaching, he's talking, he's giving his two cents. Watch Barry, he constantly talks to the younger players, expecially Brooks. He was the first guy to talk to him after he missed the shot against Atlanta at the buzzer, basically telling him to keep his head up. Always explaning and motivating him to keep going, especially after he makes a mistake. Why? Because he's the other kind of leader, not the one who's the star, that gets paid the big money and has the recognition, but the one who's been there, done that. HE knows that's what is expected of himself, to coach, to give his insight. He knows he wasn't signed just for his 3pt shot. And tracy looked out of it at the end, at one point he even looked disgusted because the Rockets had the lead, of course i don't know if he REALLY was, but how can a player, after such a slump, after all the drama, not be smiling from ear to ear after this effort and win?? I don't care what personaloty you have, it should make you feel like a kid again, like it did with Scola, deke, hayes, wafer, landry, Yao, ron, etc. Are you telling me Ymac has one personality and EVERYONE ELSE has matching personalities???
actually i didn't lie. tracy was first to congratulate someone on a play. i just remembered the wrong play thanks frodo for pointing that out. i'm really excited after tonight's win and this thread just pissed me off.
Maybe he's the unique palyer thinking about next Celtics play/Houstons defense. Maybe he's the unique player looking at C's faces/mood/feelings... and I suppose all that is a good perspective for look at the win. Man, we all know he's a particular guy, he's very very quiet, not expresive even when he makes 50... that doesn't means he passes on everything. The thread is tremendous, creator could have created it in last playoffs when he was with the same attitude on his minuts on the bench, but hey, its time to assault McGrady. Guys, enjoy the TEAM victory and sleep happy.
sorry for not remembering what people do on the bench. i actually watch the game. sorry for getting that wrong bro.
t_mac1 AKA nyk_buc, you need to respect this TEAM, not Tracy. If you are just a band wagon hopper GTFO. We don't need fans like that to support the Rockets. I love Tracy, but I want him here because of the impact he HAS on this team, and the fact that he can make this team very special. Not the other way around, ROCKETS OVER EVERYTHING INCLUDING PLAYERS. It shouldn't be the other way around, because if anything you're just a bandwagoner.
Your problem is that you keep mixing work ethic with actual natural talent. They are 2 different things. Shane has great work ethic. You are terrible to borderline ignorant on understanding that phrase. It's not worth debating when the other person keeps arguing that the circle is shaped yellow. See comment above.
if i'm a bandwagoner, why did i continue to watch this team until the clock runs out? if i'm a bandwagoner, why am i heaping tons of praise on yao tonight (literally i think i'm the only one).
