Man, I've been waiting for this, I LOVED our 4th quarter D.

11 points vs. our 18 points. We didn't score alot but darn it, they scored even less. I wanna see more of it.

Man, the defense was OUTSTANDING. We stopped KG, Pierce and Allen, they scored 11 in the 4th and bench scored most of it.

Finally we see what we want to see. Hopefully it will turn our season AROUND!

Definitely agree with you. In the past couple of games we have had a 3rd - 4th quarter breakdowns in which we got killed on offense and defense. Today we may not have had a high powered offense but the defense brought it to the Celtics. Great win.

Not really boston's shot just didn't fall. We still have a long way to go, but Hayes defense on KG was phenomenon.

Still a win is a win , deserves my compliment :) Good Job Rockets!

I agree, it seems our personnel is more suited to playing airtight D rather than freeflowing O... when our team plays to its strengths the rest will come naturally.

Nobody was lazy on D even though some are bad defenders.

Tmac shouldn't come back until he's fully healthy.

our D was better (esp. hayes' D on KG). we didn't defend the other players that well though. paul pierce missed 4 shots in the 4th where he was WIDE OPEN, including 2 in row from the top of the key.

i mean, teams have been shooting lights out on us. and boston's luck is going down right now.

Watching KG try to back down Chuck was like watching someone try to back down an oak tree. Chuck Hayes is INCREDIBLY strong.

It's important to keep perspective. Before the game it was a toss-up as to who was playing worse basketball in the NBA us or Boston.

Not trying to be a debbie downer, because I think this win will be a big boost for us, but it's not like we stopped the Celtics 19 game winning streak.

we were due for a good game. brooks has sucked for at least 7-8 games. yao really has had a down stretch since the dominant month. our defense has been subpar for a while. and i'm sure everyone made an effort to play better and they did.

it helped that we met a team that is struggling just as bad as us and was playing a guy like pruitt for extended minutes.

both teams will be fine. we just needed this game more.

Just taking out Tmac and inserting Artest or Battier makes all the difference in the world on D.

did you even watch the game? artest guarded pierce exclusively and pierce WENT OFF.

the reason our defense is better b/c adelman finally had some sense and put hayes into the lineup for more minutes. before hayes came in tonight, our defense was giving up 55%+ shooting.

our defense got better last night when hayes got in the game (but kind of too late).

Chuck hayes did a great job, they need to put him in the line up more often, I dont why RA stopped playing him recently until today, as you can see tonight he gave garnett the shane battier hand in your grill treatment...that's what we need...we need to keep the chuckwagon in the game for defensive purposes and just dont let him touch the ball on the offensive end, we'll be fine.

chuck played 6 minutes last night and has not played more than 9 minutes for a while.

    tonight he played 17 mins.

defense got better. adelman needs to take notes.

The whole team played better, and Hayes didn't get any minutes in the critical fourth.

Team defense = chemistry. Last night in Philly there was none. Why the sudden change tonight?

    T_Mac1,

Yes, I was talking about them closing down the middle and the lane, they were much better as help defenders tonight.

Hayes was amazing, and Artest was OK individually, but the team D was solid for the first time in a while.

The Celts shot a lot of jumpers and were hot in the 1st quarter, then they started missing, fatigue took over.....a good game....all 5 starters played D, which helps a lot.
