    Well, was it?

He was being rolled into an ambulance in street clothes. I heard they thought it was flu-like symptoms, but then they weren't sure and he was taken to the hospital for blood tests and iv's.

Charlotte, NC (Sports Network) - Charlotte Hornets leading scorer Jamal Mashburn was transported to a local hospital Saturday evening, after leaving the opening round playoff game against Orlando with flu-like symptoms.

Mashburn left the game near the end of the first quarter. During a timeout, he leaned over and vomited into a trash can. Then after heading to the locker room, he collapsed in pain. He played 10 minutes and went 0-for-6 from the floor.

Following the start of the second half, Mashburn was strapped to a stretcher and transported to the hospital for blood tests. He will be hospitalized over night.

Mashburn felt ill following Wednesday night's regular season finale, complaining of cramps and an upset stomach. Before the start of Saturday's game, Mashburn was having trouble keeping fluids down.

Lee Nailon started at the forward slot in place of Mashburn.
