That is still not it. Of course, it is gonna help, but remember, we used to be a great defensive TEAM. Our team defense was pretty great. But we also have troubles with offense. Just look. What shots are Yao and T-Mac getting? Isn't that unbelivable? I mean, I have a feeling that Rick Adelman really doesn't know or care that Tracy and Yao are the MAIN guys and they shoul dbe getting the ball. I have a feeling that Scola, Landry and especially Brooks are as important for this team as those two guys. In few words, they are not playing like a stars, most likely like role players. Really. Under JVG one thing was sure : You look to go to T-Mac or Yao, that is all. I understand that they are strugling individually, but hell, they still should be getting the ball, because when I see Tracy taking 15 shots and Aaron 11 I belive something is wrong. You can't win in the playoffs without your STARS. But you also have to know how to use them. Period.
RA system takes time to get going and the fact that most coaches are given at least the minimum 4 years to get things done. I believe if push came to shove that TMac would be given the ticket out of H-Town. Look how DocRocket and others have come out saying that TMac's attitude is paving the way for him to be dealt.
I agree and several other posters on other threads have mentioned the same thing. It is like the team is running in first gear and the clutch is slipping. Other than being in a slump, not playing almost any defense, moving like they are 60 years old (except Scola and Brooks who can hit anything currently), and losing games consistently to "lesser" teams who look tons better than they do, I'd say the Rockets are doing just fine. No, really, they are giving off a a bad vibe as well as a bad odor.
Wait...Trade Yao for who? If we trade Yao we better get another All-star back. Also Yao gives the Rockets a lot of money, he's worth a lot in trading value.
Since i am ***, i wish Yao go somewhere else and be a contender...i am tired of Rockets' players that are just either too 1-dimensional or lack of competitive nature.
Why do we always have to find a place to point the finger when things aren't going well? The problem we have is more than just Tmac, Yao and/or Adelman. I think it's pretty evident we're sucking as a team. Tmac is not 100% Yao played badly tonight Artest is injured Battier is out Brooks is in a slump Rafer has not been reliable The whole team is pretty low on morale I think we just need to be patient, work through the difficult times and not try to find some stupid quick-fix that will end up screwing us up in the long-run.
I agree, but if there is a upgrade in both contracts and talent you make moves regardless. The team offense is taking in so much DATA that our defense sucked atleast tonight, but i expect it to get worst too with Adelman since he more about offensive philosophy and mixing and mangaling different things so frequently. I would say move some one other than the coach if their trying build something different because new guys are adapting it seems it's the older crew either aging or beat yp and banged up who seem to not remember aspects of defensive philosophy or leadership in areas like Alston he is the teams motor and not much of one if that he needs to go i would say. You already know he can't shoot something has to give though.
