Penny is my only shooting guard in my fantasy league and is out with some kind of sore foot. Does anyone have more info than this about his injury?
The Suns have doled out a lot of money, close to franchise player-money, for guys that aren't franchise players, IMO. First, you've got Jason Kidd, who I'm not sure what he makes, but to me should be the only guy on that team making big bucks. Then you've got Hardaway, who just signed a big contract, and who's game has diminished to the point of a good complimentary player. Again, not worth the money. There's also Gugliotta, who's making a ton as well. A couple of years ago, he was 'the man' on the T-Wolves. Is this even the same player? He can't seem to do much of anything out there anymore. Where does Phoenix get all this money? Cliff Robinson also just signed a $20M deal, as did Rex Chapman a couple of years ago. Didn't Luc Longley also just sign a rather lucrative deal? WHERE DO THEY GET ALL THIS MONEY???!!!
Yeah the whining begins. First he is told he has to produce with the team more. Then his team goes on a little spurt that is stopped by an upstart Rocket team. He is non productive and controlled by Shandon Anderson. The team management wants this team to be overachieving and be blowing teams away. Coangelo keeps saying to Danny Ainge that we bought you who you wanted. Now have them produce. Penny has an injury. Of course. Right. Penny feeling a little pressure do you think????? What was my prediction: Penny whining by Christmas. Openly complaining in the media by all-star-break. Traded before year's end. Penny is ahead of schedule.
