What should McGrady expect from the fans in the Toyota Center?

I was just talking to a buddy about the McGrady situation. He said if he bothers to go to another game this season he plans to boo and heckle McGrady every time he touches the ball. I had not thought of that but the more I thought about the Raptor game the more I was on board.

Anyone else here plan to let McGrady know how they feel next time he walks onto the court in the Toyota Center? He gets a pass from the organization (although they don't have much choice) so I figure Rocket fans need to let this punk know we don't appreciate the performance he is giving.

nope. booing from fans solves nothing. I am sure Grady is getting an earful from his teammates, coaching staff, management, media etc....

I know I wouldn't boo him. He's still a Rocket. He's hearing it from everybody and knows full well of how frustrated people are. No need to further it with the boo-birds and acting like front runners.

Plus, the Toyota Center is practically like a library as it is. That's pretty tragic if it takes an incident like this to get the fans to make some noise.

no boos please. it sets a bad and negative atmosphere and it sure the hell isnt gonna make tmac play any better. plus i would feel really bad for the guy, even if he does deserve it.

Was the friend you were talking to Charlie Pallilo? Some one called in an hour or so ago and asked the exact same thing...

Yeah, no need for the TC crowd to act out of character and actually show emotion during a game. It will look phony and the TC crowd likes to keep it real lame.

No no no no, I don't boo my own players. He would have to be way worse than this for me to boo him.

I'll cheer anyone in a Rockets uniform because I want us to win, I'm above heckling any player at the cost of us lossing games.

We should cheer him for his lack of enthusiasm, because he just stands there at the three point line, and because his teamates are giving him a hard time. Poor guy.

Can we PLEASE chant something positive so this guy can get out whats happening with him mentally. Something like "We Need Tracy!" or something like "T Mac".

    anyone agree with me?

I’m not going to boo him for the bad show that he put on while he was in a different stadium. However, I will boo like crazy if he shuts it down at the Toyota Center while I’m shelling out big bucks.

Guys look at this video. This was in 2007 and he started this season very poorly due to his injury I believe. He also said HE just did not feel the same MENTALLY back then. After he felt great mentally, he stepped up his game and said he still had the same explosiveness. Hopefully, you guys respond to my message and think he is just mentally weak right now..

    1) Booing would probably get your arse beat or at the very least soda or beer thrown on ya.

    2) Positive effect would probably be better, the above poster is right, if Tracy hears the fans yelling "We need Tracy!" it could possibly have a good effect.

    3) Save your boos for the other jerseys.

    4) Honestly, if there is no effort to make noise in the Toyota Center as it is why start now?

He deserves to be booed but he needs encouragement.

He's a former scoring champ. He got a pass last year, don't really think he deserves a pass again on being "mentally weak." Rockets need to hire a full time psychologist.

Booing him will only further lower his trade value.

Well, there won't be many MVP chants for him from the Rowdies this year, I'm pretty sure.

TMac and everyone else on the team should expect every single Rockets fan in Toyota Center to cheer their asses off for them every single night.

There are possibly times to boo your own team...but kicking a man when he's down isn't one of them.

If you think T-Mac deserves to be booed for underperforming, it's only fair that someone boos the Toyota Center crowd for being so ****ty over the years. Maybe the fans and the players can boo eachother.
