Trade the #1 pick to the Grizz for the #3 and the #8 they get from Atlanta. I know u all are going to say thats CRAZY!! Ming is about as rare as they come a CENTER. I think we could win without him and pick Qyntel Woods with the 3 and Caron Butler with the 8. I think if Cato works out and works on his conditioning this off season he has the potential to hold is own in the NBA. I know we all want Rashard back but he isnt a potential Hall of Famer like i feel Woods might be. We would then have the SF postion locked up for the future. Hell we could put Mobley on the bench and play Woods at 2 guard in a matter of years that would slide Butler to the 3.

    2005 NBA CHAMPS

    1 Guard: Francis
    2 Guard: Woods
    3 Forward: Butler
    4 Forward: Griffin
    5 Center: Cato

    6th Man: Cuttino Mobley

Uh, Monk, the Clips own Atlanta's pick -- not the Griz. Second, no #3 and #8 would be worth a 7-6 center who can shoot.

Methinks monkey is a fan of dunking...

Woods is a nice prospect, and I love Butler... guys like them are more common than guys like Ming.

Im sorry yes The Clips do have Atlantas pick, sorry about that But Id rather have a Tracy McGrady on my team than A Rick Smits kinda guy. Fine How about this Rockets ship Kenny Thomas and the #13 pick +future 1st rounder for Olowakandi and the #8 so we get Butler. Then Memphis the #1 for the #3 and Wright. then we draft Woods. I dunno i get this feeling Yao Ming will not be good in the NBA. Or rather live up to his hype. Woods will be a Superstar and so Will Butler. We will be loaded.

How can you look at Ming and Woods and say Woods will be a superstar and Ming won't?

Woods and Ming will both probablly be superstars in a few years. I like the idea of getting Woods and Butler in the same draft, but not at the expense of Ming. however, if we had Woods and Botler on our team, we would have some of the most depth in the league (except at center). A starting line-up including Francis, Woods or Mobley to compete with each other for the starting 2. Butler at the 3, Griffin and, Cato sounds absolutely proper!!

The Rockets have the #15 pick, not the #13. You're a little off today.

    is
KT + lowest pick plus #14[or15] pick
for the #1 pick . . .then pick MING

otherwise .. . do not trade KT

You've got to be kidding me...

    KT is not a superstar.

He is a role player. Trading a role player and the #14 pick, will be 3X's the coup that we scored last year for Griffin.

I would trade KT + the 14 for a top 8 pick in a heartbeat.

WE NEED QYNTEL! God we need to trade for the #3 pick in the draft just to make sure. Woods is will be the best player coming out of the draft. IF we get Woods we are Garanteed a couple of Championships. With Griff Franchise, Cat and Woods its hard not to imagine Houston will be a great team

Odom needs the ball in his hands. Therefore he is a bad fit, on a team with Francis, Mobley, and Norris.

It will be Quitten part 2.

    Jees

Every year there is some guy coming out of college
that you guys SWEAR will make us champions
    IN A FEW YEARS!!

Honestly . . judging by the post of people here
There would be NO CORE group.
Francis Mobley and Griff are good until that
kid that is 16 now is ready for the draft then
we would package Mobley and Francis for him
    because HE GUARANTEES A CHAMPIONSHIP
    IN A FEW YEARS

At least until that unknown 13 yr is comes up
then we can Package the 16yr and griff for him

    KT + 14 for an 8?
    Nope. . . .

You guys see some P [and i don't mean p***y]
    and loose ya heads

    POTENTIAL POTENTIAL POTENTIAL
[does the name Cato ring a bell??? he had
    sssssooooooo much POTENTIAL
same with MO T . . . . that has not paid off *yet*]
    screw that . . .
I like what I *KNOW* is working

    Rocket River
    Keep KT

Rocks have enough scorers, even without KT. If trading KT could result in a better player bringing more of what the Rocks need(a stud defender, rebounder, with size) then I'm all for it.

I think a top 8 pick could get them that. But ... now that I think about it ... I would only do that deal right now if either

    1. We knew Mo was 100%
    2. We got a pf back that was ready to start from the jump
    3. the coaches think Griff is ready to start at pf already

Other than Gooden, I don't think there is a pf ready to start and contribute right away so scratch that. I want to win now.

this draft is going to be interesting.
