Does anyone remember clutch commenting on how the Rockets organization were looking to bring Kwame Brown to Houston?? Knowing that the premiere center in the draft will be taken top 2, why not?

What if we packed a KT + 14/15th pick for Kwame (I'm not sure if Washington would include their pick in this, unless we gave them the #5 pick instead of 14/15). Then we could use our 5th (or washingtons depending on sit.) to draft Woods or Butler.

I know Kwame was some what of a dissapointment this year, but I think this kid will be something special one day. Clutch said how it was a possibility, so obviously Washington doesn't consider him that "gem".

Washington gets a solid, yet undersized 4 that can help be their go-to guy since I doubt MJ will play next year. Rip, KT can become leaders.

Houston gets a young C that only has room for improvement. Kwame's 6'11" 240 - so he's no lightweight in terms of EG. Plus with him being young, he can become even stronger.

    ----------------------------------
With Ming off the tables, the only 5's I would look at would be Kwame or Amare. Amare looks similiar to Kwame in height/weight proportions, but amare is said to have "freakish hops". He takes the ball strong to the hoop and with authority, much like our recent day Cato. Only drawback is same as Cato however, his ability to hit from the perimeter. But then again, not everyone can be Hakeem.

Sounds great, but I'd be surprised if they did it. He was #1 last draft.

The answer would be "no", but KT for Ethan Thomas may work out. The Wizards have no place for Ethan Thomas, they have jahidi White, Brendan Haywood and Kwame. They can use Kenny's quickness. I think Ethan Thomas can be a good addition for the Rockets.

You guys are vastly overrating KT as usual.

He is only a good player if he's a featured player in an offense, and there aren't too many offenses that run the amount of ISOs that the Rockets run, which would hinder KT's effectiveness. Moreover, teams aren't looking for 6 ft 7 PFs.

Doug Collins said that the starting 4 and 5 spots can and should be thomas and browns next yr. So why would Washington help us out and hinder themselves. They will probably package courtney and try to move up to take a small forward since next will be jordans last. Thomas is a ok player like most on the rockets, but probably couldn't start for another team in the league. Kidrock you said it best.

Personnally, I don't think the Rockets would be nearly so interested in Etan Thomas as Brendan Haywood -- perhaps Thomas, Cato and the Brooklyn Bridge for him?

any trade trying to land Kwame would require giving up the #5.

Not sold on him being a C either, but I think he will be a good pf.

Etan? I would give up Mooch or maybe the Toronto pick for em, but that's about it. He's a good backup pf/c who could end up being a good starter at some point.

Rocks could probly get a better deal for KT rather than Etan straight up. Maybe KT + Tpick for Etan + Wash pick.

Good points Crisco and Kidrock. Lee, I am surprised to hear that Collins figures E. Thomas in his starting 5. Are you sure he wasn't talking about Jahidi? I thought Jahidi was to be their center of the future.

KT + T-pick for ET and W-pick would be a sweet deal for the Rocks if it works out.

No way we get Kwame for KT+Toronto pick.

KT+TO pick for ET+Wiz pick looks pretty even to me.

Sometimes its good to have players with limitations like Thomas. He plays hard, is physical and despite being " undersized" will play center much like Antonio Davis. Like I said before, being a center is much more of a state of mind than physical abilities. 6'10 260 is ideal for a center as long as he brings the qualities that it takes to be a 5. Playing good interior defense, rebounding, play with back to the basket, and blocking a few shots. Its conceiveable that we might can trade Thomas for Thomas if they are high on Haywood and Brown, but they probably want a pick instead. Thomas is probably more ideal for our team than for Washington, but they're not going to give him away.

Was would only trade their pick and another player for a PG to upgrade from Lue/Whitney.

And possibly a SF to replace MJ. No, KT is not a SF.

Popeye Jones is up for a new contract,

Can't tell me Kenny isn't better than Jones, he would give the Wiz a real 3rd scorer

Actually I think only thing KT needs to learn
    to move without the ball
[here it is not always rewarded when u move well
    without the ball]

Say the Bulls get the top pick and can't pass on Ming. Wouldn't they then want to trade Chandler or Curry? I wonder if they'd trade Curry for our top pick. Are there any decent SFs available at the 14th spot?? I also wonder if the Hornets would deal Magloire for the Toronto pick. If we could get Butler and Magloire, all of the pieces would be there.
