They have a pretty good roster but aren't winning. Why does the GM get sacrificed? http://www.sportsterminal.com/sports/news.asp?news_id=28666&back_url=/
They just moved, and the roster got shook up, and the GM's to blame because they didn't start winning immediately? Everyone knows the coach goes first!
Because, as the old saying goes, "It is far easier to fire one coach (or GM) than it is to fire 15 players."
Well, there's the rub. He's only been there 2 years and the roster is vastly improved. Okay the Jason Williams/Mike Bibby deal maybe wasn't so great but otherwise that's a pretty strong roster. Some reward!
People don't realize that the Grizz did the Bibby trade because they needed a roster shakeup, and J-Will still has SOME potential, and the Grizz needed a player who can get the new fans entertained.
The Jason-Bibby deal was done, somewhat, out of necessity. One wanted out and one had to go--- kind of like the Kidd-Marbury situation. If the Grizzlies can get West to go with Jason Williams who's next? Randy Moss? Pumping that WV connection. Can Rod Thorn be far behind?! I just don't see why Knight is made the fall guy. Who is the Grizz's coach ..... Sidney Lowe? I'm not even sure anymore.
So what kind of impact can West make on the Griz? <A HREF="http://www.gomemphis.com/mca/grizzlies/article/0,1426,MCA_475_1106607,00.html">Going West great for Griz</A> Mango
