i have done a little research regarding the players we traded pippen for in comparison to pippen himself. it goes as follows: Cato+Walt+rogers: fg% reb ass st b to ppg .502 15.2 4.2 1.4 3.1 3.7 27.2 Pippen .458 6.4 5.0 1.5 0.5 2.6 12.8 So......looking at these stats i would presume thatthe rockets got the better deal. ps. i could find pip's ststs for last season, only this season take it for what you will ------------------ "A Champion team will always beat a team of Champions" [This message has been edited by rocketfish (edited April 08, 2000).] [This message has been edited by rocketfish (edited April 08, 2000).]
Hmmm... you're doing the same thing that Give Your Head a Shake did earlier in the season in saying Vancouver got the better end of the Francis deal. Combining stats isn't a good indicator of how well your team is performing or how good a trade has been. Walt and Rogers could barely get time in the Blazer lineup and Cato was buried at times as well. The fact they are getting a lot of playing time here tells you more about us and not them (although Walt is turning into a stud... LOL!). I'll get shot for saying this, but if the Rockets had Cato+Walt+Rogers to trade, I doubt any contending team would accept that in a trade for Pippen. As much as I hate Pippen, he has added much to that Portland team that just don't show up in the stats. Just the same, he's a jackass. ------------------ <this space for rent>
