What a week makes...just a few days ago some people said 'who cares about the regular season?' I think they got the wake up call. By the same token, it's too early to panic. There is still plenty of season left and so much can happen. The problem is people took that 22 game winning streak for granted. We can't expect another 2nd half chemisty session of those proportions.
Totally agree. Having seen the rocket's games for the last several years led me to believe this rotation will be what we will see in August!
I don't want to see another 22 game winning streak and the team again falls in the fisrt round. This can be as hard as I can ever imagine. Just try to stay focused and explode when the offseason comes. The only thing I wanna see is the team competing their butts off with the lakers for the western conference champion!
I'm worry because we need consistent scoring threat and strong defense. Both haven't materialize. Our pg is still a weak link. What worse is Mcgrady's body language is discouraging. Don't know where is his game at and he looked lost on the court instead of playing like a leader. When will we get it together before it too late?
Lakers fans are worried about seeing us in the first round. From a Lakers forum: "We better pray that Houston doesn't finish as the 8th seed. Battier will hold Kobe to single digits while he rains 3's from everywhere. Rafer will dish 15 dimes a game while Yao & T-Mac average 30+ each. Artest will drop kick Pau's head into the 3rd row. We have no answer for that kind of star power." OK, not really.
Don't panic. Give Battier, Artest and McGrady enough time to properly heal. The team has to stop trying to use them as short-term bandages. The rest of the team have to keep playing with the effort and intensity they showed against the Hawks, regardless of wins and losses. It's not going to be pretty, and the Rockets may even be out of the playoff seedings by the time they get everyone back. But I think they can still make the push back into the playoffs. And if they're healthy, they'll do well even without home court.
Not one person said 'who cares about the regular season'. That is jsut like me claiming you and others beleive we have to win 82 games or its the end of the world. The general consensous of those who do not have a fit after each loss is that it is still early into the season and considering how inconsistant we have been we have a positive record. We are over .500, but up untill the last two days things have looked in control. However things seem to less stable. We are not having the same problems we were having 2 weeks ago. I have been saying this for a very long time. McGrady should be doing his rehab at home, not on the court. However the fans bashing T-mac now, even though they have the right too, are asking he be benched and traded away after begging he be on the court. Claiming T-mac at 50% or at 70% is better than any scrub. You guys wanted him on the court and now you got him on the court.
The difference is that Mcgrady seems unstable. I beleive I was right to defend T-mac up untill 2 days ago. His lack of effort is wrong and someone needs to give him a kick up the ass. And it has to be Rick Adelman. He needs to stop playing nice and put T-Mac in his place. Without Tracy at his best we have zero chacne at winning a Championship this year. Our club needs to find out what is wrong with Tracy and gget him playing well. I don't care how much money he makes or if it is right a coach has to motivate a grown man. I want to win and we need him.
No, there were some posters who expressed that exact sentiment, otherwise I wouldn't have mentioned it. Some questioned the level of Tmac's play recently, which received the responses of 'we will definitely make the playoffs...it doesn't matter how tmac plays during the regular season...the regular season doesn't matter, only the playoffs...etc'. As to your other points, you must have me confused w/ someone else. I've never asked for Tmac to be traded, and I've always said Tmac should only take the court if he is willing to give 100% effort.
Right now we are screwed unless T-mac can pull the pacifier out of his vagina and start playing ball like he has a pair. Ron and Shane need to get over their injuries and then no trades need to be made. If nobody is going to man up then I think its time to hit the emergency switch and pull the trigger on a trade or two.
yeah,we are in the 8th seed,we have no hope for the champion this season, and we have no hope for the 1th pick in furture
Dont be panic, last season we were the 10th in the west at this time, in the end of that January we began won 22-0 streak, although I dont think we can make that great record again. Now, just wait, we can do better later then. Believe Rockets..
Panic? NO But obviously it is a reason to WORRY. We need to remember that there are 9 teams in the West which are all capable of making the playoffs and even if we win 50 games we may not even enter the playoffs. But the thing to worry is: This team is NOT GETTING BETTER. It is getting worse.
