Les won't make trading Yao happen. All the Chinese deals are bringing him some $$$. But... trading Tracy... I don't think he'll have a problem trading. He didn't have a problem trading Francis. NBA is a business. There is no loyalty between people.
so,there's no way waivering someone who's now under a huge contract , instead of trading him? cos, i dont think trading will help in this team
The last time Les spoke to the media about McGrady he said no teams have called about (making an offer for) McGrady. He didn't say they're not trading him.
he may not have stated in publically, but reading between the lines, I think les is more than happy with the revenue Yao and T-Mac brings his organization. T-mac is still thriving internationally off his success earlier in his career all the way up until last season. The fact that it is still in the all-star hunt justifies this. Les is milking this duo for all the dollars he can get.
Les could have given a definate answer and said the Rockets are not interested in trading T-Mac or he's just not on the market but instead left it open by saying: http://www.sportsradio610.com/episode_download.php?contentType=36&contentId=3219036 Reading between the lines I'd go with the Rockets are open to trading McGrady for the right deal.
would it be possible to trade mcgrady for iverson? dont they both come off the books in 2010? maybe its a stupid idea or maybe it can be what finally gets us over the top alston iverson battier scola yao
but one cancer trys hard and isnt injured often, while the other cancer quits and is always injured...
I like your idea and it isn't to unrealistic, we get the point guard we need along with getting some much needed length not to mention Vince Carter which right now is playing better then T-mac. People here wanting to trade Yao for Gasol are dumbass's, are you guys smoking the same **** or what?
Battier and Alston for Andre Miller from Sixers is a bold move. The problem that i clearly see is the supose to be leader of the team has a inability to lead do to surgery concerns and the rest just follow. Andre Miller would lead this team even if Grady can't ATM. Then they will follow Millers lead instead.
The team is out of sync do to not really knowing who is playing and who is not playing and when you are out of sync this can be broken down into leadership and when you are out of sync then you cant find no rythem in your game plan. The team is made up of a bunch of tallent, but no defined leader and what needs to happen is find a leader who will lead them through these times.
You're only looking at the brightside of the trade. Detroit made a bold move as well, trading their Billups for AI. Wonder how that turned out? (for this season anyway, once AI's contract expires they'll have the space they for 2010). High Risk=High Reward=High chance of Failing
I like this trade but we'd be giving up too much for Miller, unless you're see Alston as having negative trade value (ala Stromile Swift). Add a sweetener (draft pick, williams/rush/ivey whatever) and I'd be up for it.
Thanks they might do it you never know look at their record and Brand is done again. They might tank sit with Brand and the youth and move contracts for 2010 you never know. Dalembert is on the block. I imagine they will listen for the right offer for Miller even if they want Landry to fill in for Brand we could squeeze something out to make things possible as long as they don't gut our rotation. This team is lacking a floor general without Grady setting up the offense.
Even if you think we would be giving up to much Alston/Battier/Hayes works for Miller/Young, but i believe Alston alone has negative value. Young is 6'8 with length can come off the bench either way and they can have Head for free if they want. We have Wafer>Head and Barry.
