    I guess I don't understand how that equates to "wrong turn made the perfect moment". The guy would have died if noone was there. It would have been the perfect moment if he landed it. Instead, were supposed to accept this "perfect moment" bs as he sank under the snow on impact and couldn't move...similar to an avalance victim. That's not a perfect moment in my book. Perfect timing to be rescued maybe. Whatever.

    These massive ski jumps have intrigued me for quite a while -- there is this obsessive clique of ski jumpers who will do just about anything to break the standing record. I really don't see how this one can ever be topped since it is about 30 meters higher than the previous record. I'm sure plenty will die giving it a try though.

    I don't think he would have been out there by himself, the point is, he made a wrong turn, and by accident set a world record.

    What constitutes a world record? Surviving? Shouldn't you have to land a jump for it to count?

    ^ I think so because the last world record was certainly worse at about 75 meters -- he lands on his head.
