I saw him in high school. Contain the outside. His strong point is not running in between the tackles
He looked pretty unproductive based on the few times I saw him play with Michigan. That Cyrus Gray kid at A&M is the better ball carrier.
Clement had 160 of those run plays for Rice so I think he'd ultimately get more carries at UH but I agree that he'll produce at either place. I'm kinda torn on this kid, he was a pretty good prospect coming out of h.s. but was very average (at best) for Michigan, but that entire team was crap. I think Rice or UH would be both be a good fit for him. I personally think he'll just get lost in the shuffle at A&M or at any Big 12 team for that matter.
It's official. Sam McGuffie is a Rice Owl. Rice beat out A&M and UH for his services. This is a huge pickup - Sam was Michigan's 2nd leading rusher this past season as a true freshman (only appearing in 9 games) <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8t2gplt2dyc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8t2gplt2dyc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Official? Where is the link?? Did you hear it on the radio?? The google show's no official commitment.
Truthfully, id look for other positions for sam. He just might be a little to small for RB, but its possible he will be good. He runs a 4.32 40 but only weighs 185. I say stick him at slot or something

Rice also has Cy-Falls product Shane Turner waiting to play. He was also one of the areas top rbs a couple of years ago.
I wonder if Rice will use McGuffie like Casey. In any case good for them. Rice is also getting a Alabama transfer QB Nick Fanuzzi (San Antonio). Nice to see that program investing in their football.
