Most of us wanted him out and all, but I believe he was BEST suited for us. I think we need him back but there is no way that is going to happen. We always tried our best with this guy, hopefully he can come back which I doubt.

One thing for sure JVG wasn't gifted with a lineup like ours.

I don't know about Adelman, but it just seems like he is losing control.

At this point we really need a PG that can run the offense.

At this point Rockets only need the leaders work hard, give the effort and need JVG yell at Yao Ming and bench Tmac

I have suspected that ever since Rick took the job he spent his nights wondering if he really wants it. I think he was happy in retirement and should have stayed there.

We won't see him in the NBA (at least not as a coach) after he leaves Houston.

Meanwhile, In 2010 McGrady will con some team into signing him as a 6th man extraordinaire for $8 million before he pulls the same stunt on them as he has here.

Watching SVG coach Orlando makes me miss JVG since they coach similarly.

When Orlando was beating the Hornets by like 30 he was still yelling at his players when they let up.

With such talents in the team, Rox should be much better in JVG's hand

The positions improvements since he left:
1.PF (biggest hole at the time)
    2.Ron Artest
3.The prime age and experience (YAO, T-MAC, BATTIER, SCOLA)
    4.GM
    ...

Man, I really, really miss JVG. Call him boring, call him depressing but the man knew all the right buttons to push. He would never allow soooooo many bad games in a row. He knew how to work with Yao and T-Mac, made them strong mentally.

Imagine if JVG had this squad playing with him. JVG always pushed every ounce of effort and talent his teams had to the maximum but he had bad rosters surrounding his superstars for the most part.

No knock on RA, he is a great coach. However, for this roster, JVG would be amazing.

Under JVG, even when the offense was struggling, we could at least hold the other team down with defense.

    But now we lost both.

adelman does fine when things are going well. he's a great coach but he doesn't appear to be a motivator. i think jvg would do a better job with the injury situations but not necessarily if everyone was healthy, which is why i don't want to quit on adelman.

van gundy was in your face and if anything you could tell he gave his heart and soul to the team every night. I don't know if the majority wanted him gone, i just think those who did were more vocal about it. he's a fantastic coach who extracted maximum effort from his teams. we need that right about now.

Exactly. Orlando does not have the greatest talent. They're not very deep. 4 of the 9 guys in their rotation would be bench warmers anywhere else. Nothing but respect for the Gundys.

I like how he never let the team quit, and made sure they won that meaningless game against Denver.

no offense but jvg never yelled at mcgrady or made a point to bench him on purpose.

if we still had him, we wouldve never got ron artest, we would still have our original starting 5 with hayes starting.

remember jvg couldnt get this team out of the 1st round in 4 years

part of it is coaching, but lets not leave out the players who are responsible as well.

Man as much as i hated watchig gundy ball.............he does seem best suited for the talents that we have on this team.

I mean we now have scola + landry to replace the immortal juwan howard. We also now have brent barry, ron artest, and aaron brooks instead of luther head, david westly, and who else? i dun even rmb their names.

Gosh, if only the gundy situation worked out back then...........

Adelman is really useless because his so called genius offensive scheme won't work on our star players. And he is a poor motivator. On top of that he doesn't preaches defense. Our offense this season is arguably worst than the JVG days.

Fire the guy before this team breaks up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you figure this? Just cuz Ron likes Adelman? I'm sure Ron would rather win than just play for Adelman.
