    Legend has it that players in Japan who cleared out the enemies in the first screen and went straight to player vs. player was the original inspiration for Street Fighter.

    My favorite game of all time, the only reason I still use a Dreamcast to this day, Marvel vs Capcom 2 (the crowd goes nuts at the end):

    GI Joe - I rarely saw this in arcades, but it was incredibly fun, and you could get lots of play out of each token/quarter. I suggest you grab this on an emulator and spend 20-30 minutes beating the game.

    Rastan - For some reason I liked playing this when I was really young. My father would go play Ms. Pac-Man on one quarter and give me a few bucks to play this. I'd finish and go back to watch him for another 15-30 minutes, he was really good at that game.
