I'm reminded of the quote in Colors where the veteran cop tells the rookie cop who is in a hurry to bust someone this story, [rquoter]There once were two bulls looking at a herd of cows. The young bull says, "Lets run over there and f(ck a cow." The older bull says "No, lets walk over there and f(ck all of them."[/rquoter]
I see Barkley is tried to develop his political reputation to help him fit in if becomes governor/senator/whatever...
Admittedly I don't like Barkley, but I would feel bad for him if his TNT gig ended like this. The DWI would probably have skated but the part about the sex is not good considering he's married. Remember, he's already survived the casino fiasco, but at least with that nothing was illegal. you see all those commercials about driving drunk during the holidays, but you never actually think someone's gonna get caught
What Barkley did was turrhble. I am guessing Larry Flynt has already offered a spread to his lady friend.
I have a feeling Barkley's wife wasn't shocked when she heard Barkley was racing to get a BJ from another woman. I think wives of professional athletes know their husbands cheat and they put up with it for the $$$$$ and fame.
He might of just been saying something that the cop would think was funny to get himself out of the DWI. He seems like the kind of guy that might come up with something like that. Of course he also seems like the kind of guy that was in a hurry to get a BJ. I don't feel that bad for him as I'd be shocked if his wife was surprised just from what I've heard about Chuck's lifestyle even from first hand accounts. Personally, he's kept me entertained for years and this is just another one of those things.
C'mon, he's never going to run for office. He just talks a lot. As for the lady friend, is she a professional?
No kidding. It's just funny to hear him say that then only a couple months later do something so catastrophically stupid like this.
Me either. I watch it to the end. Watching the verbal gymnastics and psychological warfare the cops use is a bit fascinating. they are more interested in the BUST than Justice Rocket River Ironically enough . . .all the videos show people who did crimes [well maybe ole boy *was* an art student but it was ambigous]
An offense report most certainly ISN'T public record. They are considered work product, and not even Barkley's defense attorney has access to them without some sort of agreement with the prosecutor's office. There's a good chance that these facts coming out will seriously hinder prosecution in this case. I mean, why not go to trial now? The embarrassing facts are already out there.
can you really be arrested for driving 20 mph over the speed limit in some states (or all states)? or is that just the wreckless driving limit (25 mph over in Texas) and you can be arrested for wreckless driving?
