With cleveland improving I doubt Lebron will leave them. Next top guy on the list is DWADE. Houston is an enticng place for him coz of Yao and the what the china market can give him in terms of more exposure and endorsement deals there. Id take Wade over TMAC any day.
I'm sure everyone would love to have Wade here but come 2010 every NBA team with cash to spend that does not get Lebron is going to want him... while playing with a great big man might entice him I just can't see Rockets being on the top of his list.
This doesn't even make sense. First off, if Lebron stays, then New York will get Wade and Bosh. The Knicks aren't exactly getting cap room for nothing. They'll either have Wade/Bosh, or Lebron/Bosh. The only chance we have at landing Wade is if Lebron leaves Cleveland. But, even on a free market, I'm not sure we can land him. He's probably more inclined on staying put.
i would love wade here in H-Town as well, if we can resign artest as well Bosh would also be a likely candidate knowing he's a texas native
was having a chat with my friends, and 1 of my friend said, in his fantasy world, AB improve a ton over the next couple years. Rox decide to go for broke, and let yao and tmac's contracts expire. Wade and Lebron comes to rox at 2010, as its the only team with a all-star point guard that have enough cap space to sign both of them.
Well, honestly,I would take D-Wade over T-Mac any time if Tracy continuously played like crap. But I don't see any advantage we have to land Wade in Houston,Yao's a wonderful leverage but his ability's limited due to his lackin' athleticism.I bet he would rather go to some athletic big guys in the league than to play with Yao.I'm not saying that Yao's a liability in some ways, but he's not all round player that could do anything at a time.Wade's more mobile and inclined to start a fastbreak after a steal instead of setting up and play halfcourt. Alright, things will change,If possible, hope we could manage to land HIM.
yeah lets sign a guy right as he's getting in the old department so that he can use his similar to Yao style post game for us.
wade will become as injury prone as tmac. no thanks. joe johnson or michael redd are my choices. if we want to save some money to sign a pg i'd go after rip hamilton.
If Morey thinks Wade is reliable enough to throw a max contract at, then I believe him. True, T-Mac looked a lot like Wade when he was at Orlando, but two things: 1. T-Mac's teams SUCKED when he was carrying them. 2. Wade has a championship already and has proven time and time again that his disposition is of the sort that relishes pressure situations. I'm looking at this as a dark horse realistic possibility for us, because of Yao mainly. Of course that whole Wade Bosh Lebron conspiracy theory could render the subject moot.
yao is not a great big man he is the best there is now but he is not close to being great and a stats guy does not a great player make u act like d wade thinks yao is shaq or something. i think there is a better chance he shocks everyone and goes to play with lebron on same team. he is certainly not coming to houston when no one ends up coming to houston u guys will be begging tmac to come back for cheaper so the rox would remain relevant. i guarantee u ron artest wont be back next season in houston also we have too high opinion of rockets, not every1 is dying to come here only scrubs or trouble makers or former adelman guys maybe
Yao is 2x the player Shaq was in Miami with Wade. Alonzo Mourning was Miami's most important big man in the finals when they won the championship. In 2010, a dozen teams (maybe even a baker's) will have the room to throw these max contracts around. But the fact is, a semi-winning tradition, geography, the Chinese market because of Yao, and the lack of state income DOES in fact make Houston an attractive destination for maybe not a Wade/Lebron at least someone on the slightly lower tier of Bosh/Joe Johnson.
