So me an my sister were on the way home from deerbrook mall on 59 going south we were i think at Mt houston close to little york and this suburban flpped like 3 times right in front of us. It happened in slow motion. Well thats what it felt like.. we were in a white suburban too..i cant imagine what wouldve happened if we wouldve hit them. <a href="http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f330/eve2k5/?action=view¤t=RCA_0027.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f330/eve2k5/RCA_0027.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s50.photobucket.com/albums/f330/eve2k5/?action=view¤t=RCA_0025.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f330/eve2k5/RCA_0025.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
a car cut him off and to avoid hitting him he swerved and lost control.. we pulled over to help. i got out my phone to call 911 but this lady beat me to it.. one guy hopped out the rear windows because it shattered.. he was hurting bad. i felt bad for him. he was limping and holding on to the truck. until he got to the emergency lane. it seemed like everyone got out. the driver got out through the front window. and the passengers climbed out through the top.. everyone was shaken up.. at first it looked like a baby had flown out and my sister started screaming her head off. but it was just some clothes bundled up.. the wrecker trucks beat the cops..
Thats some scary ish. Glad to hear everyone seems to be ok. Two days ago I was driving and a heating oil truck lost control. Luckily he was going in the other direction and there was one of those concrete dividers between us because he smashed into the divider and almost looked like it was going to roll over the divider right in front of me. Luckily it didnt, but still, scary stuff.
i know what you mean by slow motion, a explorer sport trac flipped over infront of me on 59 a while ago, everything just slowed down..
thats crazy good thing you and your family are safe the two craziest things i've seen on the road were: when I was a little kid a car behind us on the free swerved and went spinning around like crazy on the 605 and crashed into two other cars and then into the median. I rememeber hearing a sound and then jumping in the backseat and looking out the rear view and seeing it all. It was on the news when we got home that night. this happened about 6 years ago: i was driving back to school when on the 405 S a lexus suv had caught fire in the slow lane. i mean it was a complete fireball, there was no one in the car (thank god) but traffic was a crawl going around it (this was before any fire trucks/police arrived) and I remember feeling the heat of the fire on my car and myself when I was driving past it. Was pretty crazy seeing that.
It's good to see nobody was seriously hurt as far as we know. I hope somebody followed the guy who cut them off and got their license plate. I as so goddamned fed up with aggressive drivers who are willing to risk so much just to get one freaking car length. Just yesterday some jerk in an old late 80s early 90 mercedez nearly hit me when he cut me off.
i want to enjoy my new years like everyone else. it make no sense when ppl drive like that.. i went to alaska this summer and none of them can drive to save your ass!! its sad.
i wasnt gonna even attemt to because if i saw an amputated limb or brains on the dashboard, i'd prolly freak out. i used to work in the hospital and saw an amputated leg and all kinds of organs that belongs in the body but i think this time wouldve been different!
Reminds me of this incident: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=138020 (the wheel flying through the windshield and hitting the dude in the head. ) Glad you guys were safe.
Many years ago I was in a far right lane of four lanes on a interstate. All of a sudden I started spinning out of control doing donuts across the interstate until I ended up in the far left lane facing traffic. I was shocked I didn't get creamed. A big rig had moved in my lane and hit near my left rear end sending me in a spin. Luckily there was a sheriffs deputy behind us and saw everything because I had no idea what had happened.
