    i dont question the superb quality of apple macbooks but damn, im not sure if i'd be willing to dish out the extra 1,000++ bucks.....

    btw....Macs are nice, but not enough to warrant the additional 1000 bucks for what is essentially a glorified Linux machine. I can build one that performs just like it for a ton less.

    I like my glossy screen Vista laptop just fine.

    I gotta admit the Air is sexy, but I'd continue to put it on a pedestal if I owned one in fear of breaking my $2000 investment.

    I said glorified netbook that can't do anything, does anything in there list price? Maybe someone just wants a reason to brag... Compensating for much?

    I wouldn't accept one even if it was free. Scratch that, I'd sell it to a sucker on ebay....

    My Macbook cost a lot of money. It's was worth it. I wanna upgrade to the new ones though.

    Have fun with your laptop! If you don't need to play games on a computer and don't need any specific Windows programs, then you won't miss Windows at all.

    I got a toshiba the other day for 0 dollars and 0 cents.. christmas is a great time to have a girlfriend.

    i love it. vista is pretty nice. no complaints yet.

    Knock Apple all you want... but their machines run like a champ. Mine still runs as fast as the day I took it out of the box. Can't say that about any PC I've ever had unless I just reloaded the OS.

    Right now I usin' Windows XP instead of Vista.I don't like Windows at all.It sucks,if I got my money to choose which kinda computer I gunna buy,it def. is Macbook.

    I wish I could own a Macbook someday,through my hard work.

    i bet a lot of people who complain about a "PC" have some crappy computer with barely enough memory/processor. then they go and get a $2000 dollar laptop and conclude everything about windows, microsoft, and this world sucks.

    you ever noticed how when people make threadsa about laptop recommendations they always say oh my budget is under $1000..but no one has any problem paying double for a macbook

    True that. My laptop is almost 4 yrs old now. Never reinstalled. Never any problems. Nothing. It just works.

    PC + Linux >>>>>>> MAC

    Just got a lappy from HP. AMD Duo Core 2GHz, 2GB RAM, 240GB Hard drive, and Bluray Rom for $550. Try to get something equivalent of that from Apply under a thousand bucks. Installing Ubuntu 64bit right now.
