I really dont think SF is going to play too much with the Grizz. The trade is obviously Chris Wallace doing Morey a favour as a good friend. The Rockets still have to pay SF's salary.

Yeah, the Grizz get their 2009 2nd rd pick back and give back a conditional 2011 2nd rd pick. No big deal. The deal is still a personal favour. The Rockets get flexibility and go under LT. Not too many teams can do this trade (need roster spot and under LT) and too little to gain on this trade.

bad trade imo. steve came back to houston for a lower salary than what he could in another team because he loves houston. the worst part is that they gave him up + a pick and still pay him his salary just for a conditional pick? tsk tsk.
Maybe I'm missing something, but why not trade Luther to get under the cap and hold onto Steve until his contract ends at the end of the season and keep the pick. Will we even have a pick in this years draft?
Trading Luther will be sufficient to get under the lux, but we won't have enough room to sign another player. We will have our own 2nd rounder for hte draft.
