How is it "dead obvious"? We hung even with 2 of the top 5 teams in the league on the road with a hobbled T-Mac, and basically no Yao against the Cavs, no Ron against the Hornets.

Not sure why the consensus here is that the sky is falling. I came away more encouraged about the team after these two losses.

I don't think we'll win it, but to rule it out already is ridiculous.

Bibby is an interesting prospect to upgrade the PG situation if the price is right. Bibby and Kidd are both available. Don't know how much teams will be willing to fork out for them though...

The Hawks don't have PG depth. I wouldn't be surprised if they sign him to an extension before the end of the season.

Regardless, if Bibby becomes a FA, he won't take a pay cut to play for the Rockets. His next contract will likely be his last significant one.

If the Hawks don't extend him, he'll be looking for as much money and as many years as he can get. He's having a good year, fluke or not. He won't go from $15 million to $5-6 million just because he likes Adelman. I imagine he'll get somewhere close to $10 million per with his next contract.

When I get real sick of TMac, say, twice or thrice weekly, I imagine the idea of TMac and, maybe, Luther for Bibby and----oh, no, brain-fart, what's that guy's name? Plays 3/4, Marvin Williams or something? Learned to shoot the 3?

Tmac and Johnson might make a killer team in the Least, and Bibby could be re-signed for a far more reasonable salary, giving the chance to re-sign Artest.

Will any of this happen? It's more likely than the Texans going to the 2008 playoffs. Just.

With JVG, we got all the old Knicks players.

Are we going for all the aging Sactown players now that RA is the coach?

    Absolutely.
Mike Bibby is one of those better 3pt shooters in the league. His shot selection can be questionable, but he makes them at a good clip. Plus he knows RA's system better than anyone on this team.

    Please make it happen Morey

Coming from somebody that watches Bibby nearly every time he plays, believe me when I tell you he doesn't make his teammates any better or set anybody up.

He's a good shooter that plays smart but that's pretty much where his positive contributions end. He LIVES on the perimeter, rarely ever takes a shot inside 10 feet of the basket and never gets to the line. To compound this he's awful defensively. He simply can't stay in front of quick PG's.

Would I take him over Rafer? Sure, but at what price? Somebody will offer him a deal starting at greater than the MLE. If our decision essentially comes down to choosing between him or Artest you making resigning Artest your top priority....by a mile.

Bibby's play really depends on how motivated he is. He just might fit in here but I just don't see it happening.
