What about that guy as our backup center? He would be a perfect fit for the Adelman offense and he want to get traded in a contender team. http://www.sacbee.com/voisin/story/1501832.html
Can't rack up 10 mil without trading Battier, or else sending them a load of players and signing D-league players.
This guy is owed 23 million for this season and next. Good fit, and does not kill our 2010 plans, but how on earth are we going to find that much salary to get him? Plus Les would kill somebody for this.
Would rather have troy murphy Contract wise they are the same, and he's the perfect fit as a big man who can crash the boards and shoot the three ball
Then why did it succeed? And if it's off a little for some reason I can't see, throw in some filler. I don't think the Kings would do it though. We'd be raping them.
We would have to get Portland involved as to where we would have to give up Battier/Alston/Scola or Landry or Hayes and Head we would get Miller and Bayless and Portland would get Battier+filler from Sacramento.
genius. the kings were being beat up by boston by 50pts last time i checked. pls, sactown, give the season up already.
Assuming Portland was even interested in Battier, one of their SFs would have to be going outbound in the deal. They already have 3 SFs that are either good players or good prospects (Webster, Outlaw, Batum). They don't need 4 quality SFs.
It would be great to have a backup center with some size but do we really need another older unathletic player.
It would be nice to have another athletic perimeter player that can not only shoot but also GET TO THE RIM AND FINISH CONSISTENTLY. Even when healthy, McGrady is a jump shooting $20 million dollar player that isn't even a very good shooter. Fortunately, he makes up for some of it with good playmaking but we didn't pay him $20 million per year expecting him to shoot 40% from the field and drop 5 assists a game. We expected him to be our Kobe Bryant, something he hasn't come close to living up to.
Miller is basically another Scola with more range and better court vision to pass better, but he is also a aging veteran.
