Only on those occasions when he has a mismatch. Defenses are really geared up in the 4th quarter which makes things harder.
Both team played back-to-back tonight,no difference. They were playing without Boozer,Okur and Millsap.Wow ,no joke, they're good players though,we still have edge over 'em!T-Mac sat out tonight and Ron back in the lineup with his sore ankle but played like a Tru Warier!Yao's effort was tremendous for our rockets despite his poor performance at the crunch moment. Injury prone j*zz?No joke,Rafer pulled his hammy days back and Brent had thumb injury weeks back. We've all been through injury,That's lame excuse. We win,no matter how ugly the game is,A WIN IS A WIN!
great game! great win!!! Ron is the man!!! Yao showed the heart!!! And I am just hope the other all-star in our team can grow up a little sooner. Sigh.....
I am not satisfied with this team make-up. Scola is not good enough and even though has high basketball IQ ....continue to make bad passing decision in the game....he lack athleticism and sometimes outmuscled and outrebounded by someone who is more athletic. Landry has everything the Rockets need but he's too short and can't defend the taller player. Chuck is great defender but lack athleticism and offensive skills. We need a player that combined all 3 of these players assess: We need a player with Scola's IQ, Chuck's defense and Landry athleticism and offensive skills. Can we clone a player? Rafer is too much 1-dimensional player...pretty much reduce to a spot up shooter and not much else. Can't drive and only do so under his term. Tmac is lazy and has no desire and determination to play hard. We need more player like Artest that even when injure...play hard every time he's on the court. Give his all and show emotion and desire to win.
What Ron Artest did tonight is all Tracy had to do in the 2007 game 7 game against the Jazz. Take the ball to the basket and finish or draw the foul!
I actually dvr every game even if i'm watching it. Then i go back and make a scorecard of things i see. Now if you want to put your head in the sand and be happy with a performance even if they won, but can see in the playoffs it wont happen like that, thats your choice.
Toughness is what this team needs. The regular collapse in the fourth quarter only reflects the players' psychological weakness. Ron has set all the other players a good example to follow to be tough enough. Then eventually we can prove the JAZZ is nothing but rubbish
Exciting win. Yao carried the team in the first 3 qtrs. Ron finished it with determination. You guys should go to j*zz's board for further pleasure
Yao run out of gas,if he missed few shots in 4th,there wont be OT but his critical blocks saved the game . not too godd ,not too bad, his was too tired.
LOL,I just passed by there and saw some 'interesting' stuff they were complaining about. Well, actually I watched the game on the streaming so I don't really see what was goin' on when Yao blocked Crylenko's dunk there. Was that a foul?I just don't buy it! Here's some what they said on that JIZZBOARD.LOL@it.they're p***y after A TOUGH loss to us
On ESPN, as well as most major market print media, the headline will be/is: "Short-handed Jazz lose to Houston". Bull sh$t! Tracy still out trying to work through the pain (most of us have no idea what he may be going through); Artest and Battier playing through ankle injuries; Barry less than 100% because of his leg injury; Alston still dealing with hammy problems; etc., etc. NBA ball is physically demanding and dangerous at times; all NBA players play through and deal with pain, either nagging or debilitating - its just the nature of the game. Most of us would be on sticks or in a wheelie if we had to deal with leg and foot problems. Hardly anyone cut us any slack last year with Yao and T-Mac both out or injured or both. Some teams, e.g. Boston and La, have pretty much avoided the injury jinx, but one could crop up anytime. Anyone seen Gilbert Arenas this season? I respect the Jazz heart tonite, but I still dislike them intensely. Yeh, we got more FTs than the Jazz, and should have had more - Yao gets mugged everytime he touches the ball; both of their centers should have fouled out before the 4th Q - but I guess everybody, including the zebras, think that just because Yao is so big, he should take care of himself and stop picking on the smaller guys. I really appreciate Luis' effort, particularly on the boards in OT; the man never quits! And to my fellow "armchair head coaches": I disagree often with RA's moves (or lack thereof) - Friday night I thought he should have started the second unit to start the 3rd Q; they were more effective - just MHO. But I haven't won over 800 NBA games - have any of you? Coach knows what he's doing; I think we're very lucky to have him.
I just posted this in another thread, but it may be more appropriate here. Was t-mac on the bench / even in the building tonight? Its one thing if hes re-habbing, but he was fine enough to play the night before. I would imagine he could atleast be cheering or even talking to his teammates during time-outs giving them advice, hell even motivating them to get through 2 OTs.
They need more than toughness. They can start by not having so many 1 dimensional, standstill players. Battier is having trouble gaurding Korver and cant even score over him. Rafer is the worse starting pg in the league. Yao faded like butter in the microwave. Scola cant guard anyone either.
