Thank the fans in Toyota Center, they booed 'em everytime they headed to the free throw line. That's the effort! anyway, great game we won.Still remain heaps of problems needed to be resolved.
It is very hard to be a great playmaker in today's NBA. You have to have superior scoring ability to be effective in assists. Look at the top PGs like Deron, Paul, Nash, Parker...each can shoot, drive and make plays. This team has TMac who can do that. Look at Jason Kidd, who's offense is off with aging and is not really a great PG nowadays.
Instead of chanting Utah sucks, the crowd should've been chanting Rafer sucks. The Ron Artest chants were nice though.
No, we don't need Tmac to get a win, as this game has showed us. What we need is just another way to score when one way is not working. Yao was out of gas and couldn't score in the 4th quarter. So any reasonable people would try another way immediately, especially when we have so much fire power in this team. But Adelman just let the team repeat the same mistake for 17 minutes. That's suicide. Thank god finally he realized we have some more stars, like Artest. When we had Tmac, it was better. That's simply because when he was in, the ball always went to his hands first. And he at least chose between Yao finishing it and he himself finishing it. That's way better than going to one player for 17 minutes. Last season, Adelman had been scolded for over using Yao. What happened in today's game is even worse. Way worse.
Don't want to be a Rafer apologist but he is coming back from an injury. He looked just as worn out at the end as Yao. Glad the Rockets got the win, but what a grueling game to watch. It was like watching the final rounds of a boxing match. I'm really looking forward to when the Rockets can play with a semblance of health. Sigh.
we win the game, we lost the metality again with jazass, but good new is everyone knows why we bring ron into this rox, not for the scoring in the cruch time, but toughness, fight! fight! fight! fight! fight! fight! fight! fight! always fight! man i love this guy,plz vote for ron artest for the all star , he is not for away from starter
THIS GAME SHOULD HAVE BEEN OVER LIKE 2 HOURS AGO AND PPL SHOULD HAVE ALREADY POSTED "TMAC SUX" THREADS
the jazz always play us tough. this is not new to rocket fans. the scary part is that was without boozer and okur. ron is leading by example and this game will show the other rockets what real heart and toughness is about. mario elie and maxwell are smiling somewhere tonight.
Before the start of the season, he has promised fans in his blog that he wont play until he gets back 100% of himself... but the last two games, he spent most of his effort walking on the court instead of on the bench... no more excuse for your idol anymore ...................
Respect for Artest and JAZZ! Someone say we beatted an injury Jazz team ,but don't forget just this team won Mavericks yesterday~~ ------ i am chinese with poor english
These fourth quarter collapses are getting real tiresome. What is it with this team that they can not close out of a game? This has been going on too long for Adelman and staff to not have figured something out. Good teams know how to close a team out. I know our record is good, but this is a very disturbing trend.
This was a good game between two tired and battered old foes. I do wish that the Rockets could have put it to bed earlier, and I didn't agree with some of the substitutions and their timing tonight...but a win over the Jazz is always good. Artest manned up like nothing else tonight, especially in those overtimes. Kudos to the fans in the arena for the thundering "Ron Artest" chants there at the end. Luis Scola is possibly one of the most underrated players in the game. He may not be flashy, but he is a smart player who won't quit.
