If you guys are talking about being clutch in terms of shooting the game winner, then of course Yao is definitely not clutch.

But he definitely has ice water in his veins when he steps up to shoot free throws to give us the lead in a tight situation (such as the Jazz game).

there's no need for that. it is what it is. yao gives can give us the cake, ron can give us the icing.

i thought tmac took nights off to rest so he can come back fully healthy. instead he puts up 2 triple doubles which was nice and appreciated. but then he just goes and blows 2 games and sits out the next night. he obviously didnt come back at in full health like he should've. either that of this guy is just way tooo fragile to play basketball.

    I just show the stats.

This year he got plenty of clutch performance.

Maybe I show a video with a guy banging your wife or girlfriend and you probably say not My wife never cheat on me. Sad but true.

I have seen enough games where Yao gets neutralize by mediocre centers at the end of games. I have seen enough of pounding the ball to Yao just to get a bad attempt at a fadeaway. I have seen enough of Yao turning the ball over in the high post. I have seen enough of Yao not being able to grab the crucial rebounds that lands right next to him. He's great player but he's not clutch.

Pretty much. The difference in calls Artest got versus Yao make the refs look terribly biased. I'm glad they juiced Ron for all he had.

You are correct. Artest might have benifited from having last night off, while T-Mac played that game.
This is all about building for the Play-offs. That is why we have Artest in the first place. So when one star cannot play, or plays poorly, we have another one to step up.
2 months into the season and we are about 3 games away from the Lakers.

I just love that the hater forget the 3 wins where T-Mac was scoring, making the right plays and getting rebounds.

The truth: Rockets don't win this game without Yao's 26 pts, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

I think Ron is the true leader of this team.Yao and T-mac are good players but they don't have a brave heart.

Yao 23 attempt only 9 fouls.
    Ron 18 shots 11 FT

There is no way Yao get only 9FT but we know he will never get the call because his sizes..

Kingkong, if you are really a Rockets fan, how can you take hits at Yao, who carried the Rockets' offense for 3 quarters of the game and defended the paint all night, yet you don't even mention Rafer Alston's repeated brickfest? And just because someone else shares your Yao hatred makes them membership-worthy?

True. We should thank refs for calling fouls on Brewer defending Artest. Otherwise, the game would still remain very close in the 2OT. The refs just can't call fouls on any centers defending Yao. So it's not a good idea to give Yao the ball at clutch time.

I'm not a Yao hater. I started following the Rockets after Yao joined and I'm Chinese. I'm just not a homer and if Yao left Rockets so am I!

Yeah I am a rockets fan. Rafer is a scrub he is expected to play like that, Yao is a max paid superstar and the supposedly "best center" in the league he should carry his team to a win at the end of a close game but he failed time and time again to do that, If u want me to bring up games where he choked in the 4th I will. Remember the Utah series? failed to grab a rebound in the most crucial moment.

That guy is membership-worthy is because he is not afraid of the majority of this forum, who are Yao's fans only to be frank with you. I like Yao but he deserve to be bash when he play bad regardless of how many fans he might have.
