I only have one suggestion. I think after the season is over and the post season starts, Steve should have a playoffs party at his house and invite the team. They should sit down and WATCH NEW JERSEY!!!! i think the Rockets have enough talent to play like the Nets of this year. Hell Cato is a better center than McColloch. Francis should watch Jason Kidd and how he passes, hell the whole New jersey offence would fit perfect with Houston. another thing. PLay Griffin at post all next year i hate seeing him behind the 3 point line its frustrating

New jersey is playing good but they won't get past Detroit.
Ben wallace is more of a monster than Kenyon and Wallace don't play dirty.

Actually Steve will probably show up at the Nba finals like he and a few of his friends did last year. It will slowly sink in more and more.
A player has to grow hungry and want it so bad he can't think but anything but that. Steve is Hungry but he is not starving yet.

You bet his name is Amare. We have nobody playing above the rim right now. I hate to see how soft both Tmo and EG are. I am beginning to feel that it will be two more years before EG becomes a factor in the low post, offensively. In fact it is possible he may not, that is why I like Amare as insurance. I need somebody that is NASTY. Wilcox and Amare fit that bill.

I don't mean to disagree, but Kenyon Martin only has 5.3 rpg.

Can anyone explain how that works? Maybe it is because his slug teammate, Jamie Feick, outhustles him on boards and knocks him out of the way. Feick has 7.1 boards on the Nets in 13 less minute than Kenyon. Another teammate, Todd MaCullough has more in 10 less minutes. That softey Van Horn has 7.5 boards. Hell Jason Kidd is out rebounding Kenyon, too, by 2 boards/game. Kenyon is #5 on his team in rebounds. What? Does Kenyon hold back the other team to let his teammates get the boards? Is that how he hustles on the boards.

I mean, Maurice Taylor as had 5.3 boards or more each of the last 3 years. Willis has 5.8 boards in 52 games this year. Wally Shishkabob almost has more than Kenyon.

Eh? How silly. You do realize that a team with the Rockets record from last year would probably make the playoffs this year, right?

Unless you really believe that Hakeem and Shandon Anderson were so integral to the team that the Rockets are significantly worse than without them, then you can chalk up the poor performance this year to either injuries, poor coaching, or regression in Francis.

If Francis reforms to his form last year, and Mobley continues in his current form (much improved!), and Griffin makes normal progress... and Taylor returns... and Francis avoids injuries...

then this team is potentially better than the very respectable team of the previous season.

No need to imitate new jersey. Just continue with the development of the numerous youngsters and have less bad luck with injuries.

I agree that injuries were a problem, but i dont feel the Rockets 1 on 1 offence will get them anywhere in the playoffs. Wilcox can be another Martin, He is just nasty, remember that post saying Houston needs a thug i think Wilcox could be our Kenyon playing above the Rim the whole game. Hes an enforcer playing with his power.
