So, this year we get to vote on the fourth contestant for the dunk contest and it is between Russell Westbrook, Rudy Fernandez, and Joe Alexander. I personally am voting for Rudy Fernandez because the guy is absolutely incredible.

I voted Fernandez too. He has ups. Idk, none of these guys are anything spectacular. They definitely don't have the ups like Gerald Green or anything.

I'm voting Fernandez too. I haven't seen anything from the other two guys in the NBA.

So no one is willing to vote for the rare white guy with the 40+ vertical?

Touching the rim with your head ain't good enough?

I'm down with Joe, although Westbrook or Fernandez is fine too.

The three hoping to get voted in are Rudy Gay of the Memphis Grizzlies, Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic, and Nate Robinson of the New York Knicks

Joe Alexander is the best dunker among the three. Rudy Fernandez is obviously the best player so far, and both Rudy and Westbrook are better known than Joe Alexander, but this white boy can dunk! And he speaks pretty fluent Chinese too :) Check out his dunk montage in practice and you'll be convinced to vote for Joe.

Yep, this man may not become that great a player, but he's a freak of an athlete (he excelled at 175 lbs lifting at predraft work out too).

    oh yea.

Can we vote both Fernandez and Alexander in and take Robinson out.

Atleast they didn't announce Chris Anderson as one of the contestants.

I'm not sold that the rim he hit his head on was 10 ft. Actually, I don't believe it at all.

His in game dunks are not impressive and his head sure as hell isn't anywhere near the rim in those. Bob Sura dunked that well 10 years ago so color me unimpressed with is athleticism. His work ethic is another story according to what I know of him.

It doesn't really matter who the 3 contestants are, Dwight Howard will win it. Dwight can just shoot a 3 pointer and the judges will scream have you seen a man dunk from 30 feet and win the dunk contest!

I think Landry is more of an in game dunker. I'd like to see him in there though.

The rim in the video he shows looks very 10' - considering Alexander is 6'8 it seems perfectly feasable.

It's well documented that the guy is a 'rim headbutter' - supposedly his 'signature dunk' would be a double rim headbut dunk. And if you don't believe the clip you just watched, read his pre-draft review:

Can't fake it on the same ring that everyone else is doing their workout on!!

Personally I don't like Alexander - I think he's an extremely gifted athlete who wasn't worth the #8 pick - but he's extremely athletic!
