He sat on the bench for his whole career. Only played when Elway got hurt or in mop up duty. I think he was regarded as on of the best back ups in the league at the time though and could have started for some teams.

When he was a QB, he was pretty good at drafting, but not so good at figuring out when to throw the red hanky.
