ahh, man, why does hoops world have to be full of BS, I'd do that deal......especially if Dorsey isn't doing anything here.
just bumping this to show the newbies that Doc is in the know! a couple of years ago if Doc posted ANYTHING, it would've turned into a monster of a thread. just a few days ago he tells us that steve's departure will not be due to retirement. this INSIDER INFO gets ignored and the thread buried. sad. (forgive any confusion stemming from the thread title, i didn't choose it!)
so is he gonna be a Rocket or what? with all these threads about him going to Boston, LA, blah blah makes it seem otherwise. Let's hope that trading Francis is just a small part of a master concoction that's gonna be unleashed by DM. I have faith.
This team doesn't need Francis. They have Brooks and Alston already. So this is a good move by Morey. Also as i am watching the game against the Cavs...i notice when Yao came out of the game, the Rockets allow penetration too easily....so they NEED someone like Deke filling in for Yao. The lineup of Deke Landry Artest Battier Brook looks pretty solid. Now you have another legit center that protect the basket like Yao.
Told ya! The Rockets reached an agreement with veteran center Dikembe Mutombo on Tuesday, Rockets GM Daryl Morey said. Mutombo was signed for the remainder of the season at a pro-rated veteran's minimum contract. Mutombo appeared in 39 games with the Rockets last year, starting 25 primarily while Yao Ming was out with a foot injury. In 1,187 career games, he has 3,278 blocked shots and trails career leader Hakeem Olajuwon by 552. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl...kn/6187183.html
