Dream has a white leg in that picture because that season he had to wear some type of stocking for an injury he had that year. I think it was the 88-89 season, but I'm not sure.
I made this Uni with a retro look but using the new colors. It's ok to me except it looks like a comets uniform...
Very nice. I don't mind the "Comets"-ish trim. The blue lining is sharp...and it would make a good idea for an alternate road jersey with blue switched with red. I really think the Rocks should do something very similar if not that exactly...the pistons did a great job combining old colors with new logo...this is along those lines.
Does anyone remember seeing a Rockets cap from around '92-93 with a logo similar to this? I don't know if it was an official NBA product and only saw it at a few places.
How about a silver and red/blue uniforme? Using Rocketeer's,replace the red in center by silver. How about it? ALA
Rocketeer, I hope you don't mined but I sent in two of the pictures you posted in the past to rockets.com. I gave you full credit of course. I like those unis. We could use the old San Diego logo. Just replace Sand Diego with Houston and were good to go. Sorry I could't get the pics.
Having said that, now when I look at the pict I can't help but think I should be seeing Tina Thompson or something. I like that link outlaw posted. I think if there's going to be a logo of a Rocket, though, it should be something simple (ala the Rocket in the San Diego logo maybe with Houston going across the front, with that Rocket either running through the letters somehow, or placed below them.
The picture also kind of remind me of the Clippers color scheme. Although it is definitly better than what we have now, I think there are options which can be far and away the best we've ever seen. I think rocketeer's previous pictures are examples of that...this one is good (I like the retro Houston), but something about the colors needs to be changed.

No logo! If any logo, put it very small on the short at the leg. The old San Diego cartoon is kind of neat. Houston across the front (looks good, Rocketeer!), name on back. I like the way Houston with the italic font is set slightly diagonal rising across the chest, not straight. Better to represent Houston. I like that it sez Rockets nowhere - implied in the color. red color looks good. I would interweave the red with silver thread, in a tic weave, so it appears red with a shine. When a player cut, he would literally "flash" to the basket. I would add a thin silver piping, and tone-on-tone (red, darker red) for the sleeve, neck, jersey, waistband and short hems. Use cool-max micropoly perf jersey, or other space-age, cooling material. I would prefer to run the "sport" stripe, if one is incorporated, in black - dark (midnight? night sky?) blue is ok, I guess, but black is better. White letters. Reverse white (with silver interweave) background, red letters for home. Assymetrical v neck front, square neck back. Squared hem. Black or dark blue Sport Leg stripe and broad center band for warmups.
