i do to but he has to pass a physical first before the trade can actually become official. I mean they did trade him but if he fails his physical then he has to come back to us

New York didn’t want Steve. Portland paid him a lot of money to go away. The Rockets did not play him at all this year. Then the Rockets paid Memphis, who are one of the worst teams in the league, to take Steve for a potential 2nd round draft pick. Rick Adelman must think that Steve has nothing left since he chose Luther Head over him. The fans that still think that Steve can play are using their hearts and not their heads.

I hope that Steve does well in Memphis. He should be able to get a little playing time, but don’t expect him to be even half as good as he was in the past.

No, you're wrong. I actually like Francis. I certainly didn't want him to fail. I want whatever is best for our team. Look at what we gave up just to get rid of him. The fact that Luther Head and Von Wafer were playing in front of him should let you know the situation. You're blind to it though because you want to be. Francis hasn't been a good player in at least 4 years. It's the truth. Lack of ability by Battier? Wow. Battier's a guy ANY CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM WOULD LOVE TO HAVE. Francis dug his own hole. Rafer is Rafer. I've offered up players I'd rather have then him in the past. Try again. I don't hate anyone on our team. I just want us to win. You clearly have an agenda. It's obvious reading your posts. You wouldn't even give Rafer his credit for a great game last night. Play innocent all you want, reality is clear in your posts.

The Rockets are going to sign Motumbo since he and his family have been back in Houston since Sunday from being away since the end of last season. I only wish we signed him without trading Stevie. Hopefully, we can pick Francis up next year if he does well in Memphis. He is in a contract year, isn't he?

i havent read the thread, but i am assuming this has already been said. i am pretty upset that this trade happened without even allowing Francis an opportunity to test him on the court.

i dont like the way this was handled. i understand that this is a business, but he took less money and years to come to the Rockets. We should have at least seen what he had.

Then again, maybe he didnt prove himself in practice, but i seriously doubt it. I guess his play in Memphis will give us all the answers we need. But for the mean time, i am upset!

    Go Rockets!

You can say what you want. I'm not sure if I believe you and you can believe what you want about me, but I want the Rockets to succeed. My criticism of players is not due to anything personal I have against them, but is rather borne out of unflagging support for the Houston Rockets. I'm tired of 1st round exits. Also, I gave Rafer credit for playing well last night. It was one of my post in the game thread. You can go look it up if you want, but I doubt you're interested in facts.

You know, if Rockets were playing Memphis on a deciding game, whether or not we make playoffs, I don't know who I'd cheer for...

Francis is just one of those guys that you consider to be a part of your franchise...and it's a blessing, really.

Best wishes to Francis, who, once upon a time was AKA Steve Franchise

    P.S. - Yao OWNED him.

"Memphis is a young team...they need an old man like him" :D

Fantastic news!! Now I won't have to hear all the francis lovers screaming for him to play. He's done! Maybe now some of them will finally wake up and realize that. Bravo Morey! Bravo! :D
