Eff an excuse. These guys are professional athletes whose only job is to play basketball and have their bodies prepared for an 82+ game season which includes stretches of back to back games. The Rox aren't the only team that has to play four games in five nights.

This was the biggest reason why T-mac knee was probably sore, not the back to back.

He did just fine on Minnesota/New Jersey back to back.

Edit : He did just fine on the Sacramento/Minnesota back to back. Last week he looked alright in the Golden St./Clippers back to back.

Well the Rockets are a veteran team. Cavs are young.

There's the difference. Playoff games don't have back to backs. They give you one day off and then you play again.

All you Rocket fans should be more worried about the playoffs more than one game that was an actual contest.

I don't think Rox need any excuse for this loss. A win was reachable up to the last 2 minutes.

They won 3 of the last 4 games in 5 nights. Given the health status of the whole team, I am happy with the result.

4th game in 5 nights is only a problem cause t-mac and shane already have a hard enough time with back-to-backs.

the real culprit was the refs robbing the fans of watching yao fairly compete.

Another thing to keep in mind is that throughout the playoff series, both of the teams are playing on the same schedule with each other. Just think, if there ever was two games on successive days during a playoff series (I can remember their used to be such a thing, especially in the second round), the other team is having to play on it as well.

The rockets also were playing 5 on 8 maybe 4 on 8 considering T-mac wasn't really out there and the cavs had the refs on their side.

The first time I truly began hearing players blaming the schedule (specifically back to back road games) for losses or fatigue was from Steve Franics (whom I love) back in the late 90's. Let's remember that NBA teams used to fly commercial and stayed in low budget motels, having barely above high school standard locker rooms. I don't buy the excuse (outside of Yao Ming, who plays all year, every year around the world).
That's all I have to say other than the Rockets played well for all but 5 minutes of the game and should have no shame- CF

3 weeks ago we would have lost by 20. Things are looking up for the Rockets. Wea re getting better as each week pasts.

We should start devloping a good chemistry by the All-Star break then make our run.

We are 4.5 gaems behing the Laker's which will become 4 games after the Celtics beat them.
Considering that was the first game we played with a full team, I'd say we are in a pretty good position.

I think people complaining a bit more than usual cuz we could have beat them....stuff like this is just excuses.

Tmac was crap also. His house could have burnt down or whatever, but in the end he didn't show. I was waiting in the 4th quarter for some kind of revival or comeback start with a tmac 3...but it just didn't happen.

Instead of the Big 3, we got the Big 1 and 2 mediums. ouch .-.

Who the hell needs an excuse when we have a Tmac.

"Definition of a Tmac as quoted from Websters Dictionary: to show no heart or desire to play a simple game of basketball for millions of dollars; to be nothing at any given time; an excuse for losing ; also can be used in conjunction with the words waste of space, crotchity, fragile, paper doll, and trade his ass please before his wheels fall off. Can also be confused with the female anatomy."

I will attribute some of the loss to a 4th game in 5 nights, but T-MAC was horrible and i think it had to do with him slaming knees with someone yesterday. thats just my opinion, but i do know that if u knee someone elses knee it hurts the next day not when you do it.

    PHENOMENAL THREAD

This schedule is just a KILLER. I mean just look back to back games and than only one small day to rest and another back to back. Really, can we expect a team to play at full strength?

It is an excuse for Tracy, Shane and even Ron. They are getting stronger every day, but you could see that Yao after playing only 22 minutes was EXHAUSTED. He was missing easy jump hooks, etc.

So for T-Mac, ron, and Shane it was really a killer. We could see they were completly out of fas, especially T-Mac and Shane. And it shouldn't be very shocking.

Tired of the excuses. The only valid one is horrible officiating. All others are tired and I'm sick of hearing after all of these years.

This game was totally rigged by the officials!Damn out of question!

Last night the game was the worst officiating game I've ever ever ever seen since I came to watch the NBA game.
