I have to say that even though we lost tonight, I am damn proud of the True Warrior! F#@$ what happen with Tmac and how bad the calls were on Yao. Its just good to see Ron get back to his old self.
I'll be honest, I was super pissed at the end of the game. But when Ron kept playing till the end and getting in LeBrons face, i didnt care bout the score anymore. Ron's got heart...
Yet another night where Artest's defense was proven superior to Battier's. Battier plays defense at 100% intensity all the time and he is thus, a good team defender. Artest plays at about 50-75% intensity, and can still match Battier. But when he turns it up he is by far the better defender. Best part is that Artest goes 100% when he is matched up against the premier players. When the game is on the line, I will take Artest every time.
I wish that the team would acknowledge Ron as the leader...Imagine how this team would play if he controlled the leadership
Didn't you guys hear that Battier is infallible? He didn't shoot that airball on that wide open 3. Another player failed to make the proper read and catch his "pass."
Ron matches up with James better because of Lebron's physical but simple offensive game. He either runs you over or shoots the jumper. I like Battier on Kobe because Shane's discipline and fundamental soundness matches up better with Kobe's creativity. Shane's defense is based on keeping himself between the basket and the guy he is guarding. He doesn't try to block jumpers so he can always contest the shot.

Why did he get a tech at the end? It seemed like it was just his follow through that sent Lebron down rather than an intentional shove.
It was bizarre because watching the Cavs telecast, you would think he threw a punch or something the way they trashed the guy afterwards. It just looked like two linebackers playing basketball to me, and the result was the predictable contact that ensued.
I was watching the Cavs telecast as well. In the first half, they also screamed bloody murder when Yao "fouled" Bron Bron's dunk attempt at the rim by getting all hand. It seems that they are very used to King James getting the royal treatment by the (whistle) blowers.
Accurate analysis. This is where we have an advantage. We have in my opinion the two best one-on-one defenders in the NBA. They are both different.
