Was it just me, or was last nights Rockets game not on HD ch 302 for Comcast? Every other game has been in HD. Will tonights be in HD?
I hope it will be though I wouldn't watch the game on TV. After the game I just went to NBA.com and checked the highlights out,and it was YES HD.
i had it in HD last night but it was the YES feed. thanks league pass! but for those in the houston area i dont think they've gone and started broadcasting the all road games yet in HD. i think if the home team has a tv deal with the FSN networks and they could piggy back off of the home team's broadcast equipment and send out an HD feed. the nets are broadcast on YES and not a FSN channel. tonights game could be in HD since the cavs are shown on FSN Ohio
How annoying! a lot of times I tape rocket games with my comcast DVR because I'm not home in time, so when they decide not to broadcast in HD I come home to find I taped the wrong channel. I would just tape both channels but then no one else at home can watch anything, and as much as I plead with my family no one ever remembers to check in time if the HD channel is working, so at the very least I miss the first quarter or so. Why can't they just broadcast every game in HD? While they're at it, they should dump Drexler, and bring back Calvin as the third announcer along side Worrell and Bullard.
the costs of the equipment and production for HD broadcast is like 20-30% more than that of a SD broadcast. i just dont think the rockets are in a big enough market or are a big enough draw locally to warrant "the powers that be" to spend the extra money for the 41 games a year for the HD broadcast.

thats a bit surprising since the FSN affiliate in ohio does the cavs games. I thought they would be able to broadcast the game using their camera feeds. I know they've done it in the past when they were on the road where I've gotten Bill and Matt in HD but only where there were FSN networks. I know I have the game in HD (League Pass recording at home right now) but that means i will have the cavs feed tonight. Thats ok with me, their pbp guys arent the best but they arent the worst. Austin Carr isnt too bad as a color commentator. ugh another 15 mins and I get off of work so I can go home and watch the game
